I can't say enough great things about this facility! I had to go to Urgent Care for an emergency visit for my knee and even with no appointment scheduled, on a Friday, I only waited 40 minutes to be seen. Several X-rays and a brief discussion with the doctor had me there for about an hour and a half total. This Monday morning, I had to visit the Orthopaedic side of the practice. This time I had an appointment scheduled and was back to see the doctor within ten minutes of my scheduled appointment. The staff and doctors here are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My check-in and check-out processes, both times, were quick and seamless. I HIGHLY recommend WVU Urgent Care. If you're looking for quality care, come here. The first impression is a lasting one, as they say, and mine was phenomenal. I'll definitely be back as needed!
Our pediatrician recommended Urgent Care for my son's infected toenail because they wouldn't be able to see him for almost a month. Our appointment today was fantastic. Dr. Nick went above and beyond to take care of the issue. He explained each part of the procedure to my son and made sure that he was comfortable throughout. Everyone was friendly, caring, and efficient.
I brought my elderly dad in today for an urgent care visit as he had an inflamed and infected toe, and was extremely pleased with every aspect of the visit. The receptionist worked quickly and iteratively to find my dads health insurance and Medicaid - which took some time. The nurse was thorough and kind and made my dad feel respected and heard. I really appreciated the approach Dr Andrew took with my dad - being sure to address him directly and answer his questions. Five stars! Thank you so much!
This was the first Urgent Care center that I visited and would highly recommend this center. The doctors and nurses are very friendly and attentive and try to make you feel at ease. If follow up care is needed with your PCP they will inform you right away through the WVU health system email once they have read your test results. I feel quite comfortable with the care they provide.
I've been sitting in this waiting room for OVER 2 HOURS with a worsening infection. I'm in a lot of pain. The only reason I'm here and not the ER is because of my previous horrendous experiences with them. I was told the wait time would be an hour and a half to two hours max. It's been more than that. People have walked right in and been seen before me. I'm not trying to sit here while this infection gets worse. UPDATE: I was taken back and literally every staff member assumed I was pregnant. I specifically said that there was a 0% chance of that. They gave me two pregnancy tests without my knowledge or consent. I didn't find out till after I logged into MyChart this morning. I WILL NOT PAY FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT CONSENT TO! INFORMED CONSENT IS A NECESSITY IN HEALTHCARE. This is not the first time WVU Medicine has ignored the common courtesy of consent.
I was very pleased with my first experience of needing Urgent Care. It was fast, very professional staff, very pleasant staff, even though I was sick, I walked out feeling that they actually cared about my well being. They were very knowledgeable about MY CHART, and were able to see my history with no problems. I feel confident now that I know I can rely on them when I am unable to get an appointment with my PCP. Thank you.
First - the people there are so kind! I’ve never received healthcare as great as this. Everyone was extremely competent and fast. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Called ahead for an appointment and was taken in on time. Everyone there from checking in up was very friendly. The nurse was very nice when taking my information. The physician came in and listened to me then checked me over and told me the orders he was writing. Before leaving the facility Sr. Raju came in and explained medications etc. A very good experience.
Took my granddaughter there today. We were in and out less than 40 minutes. That was including strep and COVID testing. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Doctor was very nice and caring. Didn’t feel rushed in or out. Took time addressing all of my concerns. Was very impressed with the whole experience today.
I appreciated the fact that when there was a long wait, they will text you and let you know when it is almost time for your appointment. I wasn't feeling well and knowing i could go home and wait for my appointment to be seen, was great! The staff are amazing. They were friendly, helpful and informative. This was a great first experience at this facility.
