Description

There is always something new to view and do at the Yakima Area Arboretum. There are 46 acres to explore.

The Arboretum offers excellent birding and wildlife viewing, various classes, lectures, facility rentals and more. Visit the Arboretum's webpage to get the latest information on classes and events.

A number of garden clubs and societies also meet regularly at the Yakima Area Arboretum and call the Arboretum home as affiliated members. Affiliated members share the Arboretum's educational mission and help the Arboretum to foster an appreciation for environmental stewardship in the community.

Mission

The Arboretum's purpose is to educate, demonstrate, and inspire an appreciation of native and adapted non-native plants in an atmosphere of beauty and relaxation. The Arboretum encourages sound arboricultural practices, sustainable gardening and community participation.

Products

The Jewett Interpretive Center features the Tree House Gift Shop filled with great gift items, books, tools, and more.

The Arboretum is also an excellent location to host your next special event, business meeting, class, and more. The Jewett Interprestive Center has two banquet rooms, a courtyard overlooking the grounds and outdoor facilities all available for rent.
