We tried Hibachi for the very first time ever tonight for my birthday and we chose Yamato from the reviews. It didn't disappoint! Dinner and a show! We don't know why it has taken us this long to try it. The food was amazing! Thanks to our server, Cameron, and chef for a fun night!
We came early on a Friday night and were seated right away. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Our cook was funny and kept the conversation going. The food was great, my medium-rare steak was more on the rare side but the quality was great. Looking forward to coming back!Food: 5/5
We had a Wonderful time Weveere celebrating our Mothers Birthday...Our server Was pretty new but he was awesome. Parking: Awesome Venue can't wait to go back with my crew.
We have been here a few times. Last week we on Father’s Day we did take out and the food wasn’t right. It didn’t taste as good and the portions were smaller. This food isn’t cheap. We called back up there and the manager, Jackson was very nice and offered to replace our entire meal. We came back the next day and it was perfect. We will continue to enjoy this place. Side note, get EXTRA yum yum sauce.
We have gone here quite a few times more so just special occasions and I haven't had the same experience everytime. The food is great when done right most times it is but pricey so be prepare to drop some money. Service and show have been hit or miss but this last time was amazing we were all so pleased! Our chef was engaging, fun, funny and very talented, which even made my daughter's celebration even more special!
Party of 6, had to wait and smaller parties sat before us. So we went to the bar, where we had to wait again for service when no one else was around. Finally sat with a single couple. The "waitress" only asked half of us if we wanted drinks, appetizers, or sushi. We had to continually flag her down to get anything and she seemed to be "too good" to wait on us. I wondered if maybe we looked out of place because we had a "handicap" person that could barely walk, and they are NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY. The "cook" was not into his presentation but it was still better than the other service we received. Then there was an added 20% service charge on our tab. Nothing stating that parties of 6 or more are being charged an additional grutitety charge, so, I didn't add an additional tip. Parking: Hillside, handicap at the top of a stair case Wheelchair accessibility: To get in with a wheelchair you must go around the building, along a grass trail, to access the building
Asked for my steak medium rare... got over done. We have had better food and experiences in past visits. Our chef's smock looked like he wore it all week.Food: 3/5
Great food and servers. We were welcomed with a smile and sat down by Charlize. Ella was a fantastic server! Our chef was entertaining and funny. If you love hibachi, it's one of the best in Virginia! Food: 5/5
Went with a group of 7 and had a great time. We arrived around 6PM on a Saturday night and only waited around 15 minutes for a table. Every entree came with a complimentary bowl of soup and salad, served before dinner along with the sushi roll we ordered. The onion soup, ginger salad, and spicy salmon sushi roll were all delicious! The chef, dinner show, and dinner itself were all so amazing and we all had a great time!
Chef was good and personable. Server was good and attentive. Food was just ok. Generally the restaurant seemed a bit dirty. Overall, just needs some work to get a higher review from me.Food: 3/5
