Only Dim Sum in town, and it's pretty good! We've been wanting to come here specifically for Dim Sum, and they delivered. We had: Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Siu Mai, Sticky rice in Lotus Leaf, turnip cakes, braised tripe, and sesame seed balls. Everything was tasty. The sesame seed balls were slightly overdone, but my favorite was the Siu Mai. We will be returning. Thanks for having Dim Sum in Boise :
Very good Chinese food. Tasteful and authentic. Good area, clean and spacious restaurant. Friendly staff. No outdoor seating.Food: 5/5
The food was most excellent! Everyone enjoyed every item ordered. The service was also expectional. We will definitely return to try more dishes and have some dim sum. Update. 6/26 was our fourth time or more back. This is our local go to spot for amazing food. We bring family from out of town here. We all love it so much.
Very clean, staff is attentive but stretched. Just be patient! Food is awesome very traditional and tasty. Drunks offer generous pours, and they keep them coming. Happy hour offers top shelf! Had to edit our review we visited again. Everything was horrible Food service tables Ect Won’t ever be back here. Left half way thru our meal. Quality is not a thing here anymore.
We were the first customers to arrive @ 4:30 .Service was slow but friendly. The place became busy by 5 pm. We ordered a couple of appetizers and they took forever to come out and when they did one of them came out crispy/burnt. The waitress offered to redo but it would take too long, so it was replaced with another appetizer. I still think the place has the Best Chinese Food Around.
Use the parking garage, busy area down town menu has variety of food for different tastes, lunch menu in back page . Food was good they offer dim sum...some of what we ordered was a little bland...but it was a great experience , we will go again...
My daughter told me she had this great Chinese restaurant that she knew and went out to lunch there this past weekend. The food is very tasty and good sized portions! I can recommend the Orange Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken, both were excellent!! Coming back hopefully soon for more!! Love this place!! We had an experience in another Chinese restaurant that should have advertised "dog food " because that's what it looked like! This was the Chinese food I was expecting and then some!!
My hubby and I went for lunch today. We were excited to have Chinese food, We ordered five dishes. First, Sizzling Rice Soup. There wasn't any Sizzlle at all. The rice should be cooked and really hot so when it hits the soup, it sizzles. Secondly, shrimp fried rice, it was very good. Third, beef chowfun just okay. We were thinking it cooked alot. The noodles were really shredded. The noodles should be 1/2 wide. Next, cashew chicken. Also, over cooked and bland. The shrimp chow mein was excellent. Over all we learned what to order for next time. Out waitress was excellent and really sweet. We will come back again.
Very pleased to find dim sum! Although the restaurant is more Mandarin-themed, the dim sum selection is very appropriate to authentic Hong Kong dining experiences. The Pork Siu Mai and the Shrimp Har Gow were instant hits for me. The taro cake was wonderful – soft and moist on the inside with a very subtle crunchy thin outside. Marvelously done. Eager to come back and try other menu items!
The food is definitely the redeeming quality of this restaurant. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, and pork fried rice. My boyfriend ordered the general tsaos chicken. One out of my two egg rolls was more on the burnt side, and some of my fried rice was burnt as well. Some pieces were a little black. Despite all of that, the food was actually really, really good. The service wasn't very good, though. Our waitress was nice enough but not very attentive. The other waitresses didn't bother to help us either despite seeing we were waiting around for quite some time for boxes. Same thing with the owner/manager. This was our first time here, and we had gone up to the register to pay before receiving a ticket we simply did not know we had to receive a ticket first. They asked if we had a ticket and I said no, I hadn't been there before so I didn't know. They stared at us like deer in headlights, which made us a little uncomfortable. The atmosphere was clean. However, it definitely needs a remodel. It's very old. They played music, but it was very quiet, which made us feel like we were in a cafeteria. Yes, the service was not good, and the atmosphere isn't ideal. But the food is really good and I encourage you to try it whether you dine in or order take out.
