I just got turned onto this spot over the summer.. I grow up in Gloucester and moved away after HS‘82, however I had never heard of this spot until a few months ago.. it’s causal, great energy, food is excellent. It’s extra special coming back home and being able to eat at one of my favorite restaurants!! Great prices & nice servers..
One of the best in the area. Laid back, casual atmosphere. We were celebrating my youngest daughter's birthday, so we had a table of seven. Our server was on top of everything. The food was great. I had a 1/2 dozen oysters and the tuna poke bowl. I grew up in Gloucester, and have been to YROC many times over the years. Both the menu and service have evolved to a higher standard. I definitely recommend.
We went today, the day of the daffodil festival, it was busy of course. There was a very reasonable wait, about 20 minutes. Everyone was friendly even though they were packed. Hostess and waitress were attentive and helpful, the meals were absolutely delicious. My girl has been a couple times and recommended it to me, my first impression is very good, I wish I knew about this place years ago. She got coconut shrimp, I got a Hawaiian pork bbq bowl. Great portion, reasonable prices. High quality seafood restaurant in a very casual and clean atmosphere.
Great service! The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. The view is gorgeous! We loved the atmosphere. They have a great menu. We will definitely be back!
Water side, on the patio, at the deck, awesome views, great food, tasty drinks, and good service. This is not a place you want to skip. The chef has made some great menu choices and are well prepared. Pina colata was so tasty. The Bacon wrapped scallops, I could eat them all day. I only hope to travel back to enjoy the next meal.
Busy for a reason! Lovely spot with a view of the marina and York River in the distance. The food is fresh and delicious at a fair price. Decent beer selection. Experienced staff. Expect a crowd any day of the week if the weather is good. We had the Poke Bowl delicious and spicy, Crabcake sandwich gone in a flash with fries yum, and the fried shrimp starter quality fish in a perfectly crunchy, fresh fry. We will definitely return!
This restaurant is very close to the Gloucester bridge that connects to Yorktown. It has a wide array of seating and a bar overlooking the Gloucester point harbor. They have a full bar and extensive menu with many delicious food options. We had the she crab soup and, mussels with little neck class and some fried oysters which were all very delicious.
Come here often from Newport News and it is always on point. The food is delicious and fresh. Wonderful view and atmosphere as well as great service. Our last 2 visit we had Jennifer S and she has been AMAZING!
Rented out the banquet room for my small reception and was outstanding!! Our waitress/bartender was amazing, the food was delicous and hot and everyone was so accommodating to our group!! This place reasonably priced with good quality service, fantastic food and atmosphere. You won't be disappointed if your renting this room or just visiting downstairs to eat!!
4 stars but can become 5 if you know how to navigate and what to order Great!! Location and awesome service! 3 parts to the restaurant: inside had too many flies , like a lot of flies, so we went outside and outside main floor and the upstairs bar. Food : Hawaiian pork bowl was fantastic Mahi tacos were good , my friends thought there were great . I think they can use some more flavour / seasoning Seafood Trifecta dish was just ok , I was disappointed especially with $30 price tag- the seafood was slightly overdone; scallops not sweet and a bit rubbery . And the crab meat had small parts of crab shell that made eating it not pleasant. Mashed potatoes were good. Next time I’ll try the poke bowl . note to self, meaning I’ll come back.
