What a beautiful library! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The building is beautiful and the Library is very clean and organized inside. I'm looking forward to coming back.
Calm and tranquil environment to read and check out a book. They frequently have events such as slime workshop or children reading time. Check out their itinerary for the month.
Watch out for those overdue items! We had RSV, the flu, and Covid back to back through our family for eight weeks. Then had a family member pass. When we returned our books, after acknowledging them being late, apologizing and explaining our situation, we were hit with ZERO response and a $60 fee to restock the books. One fee was $7 for an old Ernest Hemingway book you can buy online for a few bucks! I think we will stick with Lincoln, even though it’s a bit of a drive. They auto renew books, and wipe any associated fees upon return of the item. Bummer.
This is the WORST library I have ever been to! The librarians are rude and unhelpful. They watch every patron literally on their cameras in the anticipation of them stealing something. They have ridiculous limits, charge the patrons for interlibrary borrowing and have ZERO library access for most of their community Brownsville, Oregon House, Dobbins, Challenge, etc.. They also force you to reapply for a card every year. I have never in my life been to such a "library". I am quite certain these "librarians" would prefer to keep their doors closed and never check out anything to anyone. Zero stars.
This was a pleasant surprise, friendly staff, clean, well organized and very helpful people to help me with the computer problems I had. Beautifully decorated, quiet Awesome experience!
Girls that work there are very helpful and the kids areas is amazing. They should give adults a more quiet place for study purposes because kids can be rowdy but overall it is a kid friendly environment. Tablets, computers, puzzles and anold faahioned wood game for kids.
Most of the staff is hateful and appear to be drugged out. The problem, it starts at the top. Some snotty girl told me to move my car, during covid no less, while the library was CLOSED. I asked her for her name and title, as I'm a library donor and I rent a retail space nearby to a city council member, and she stormed off in a huff. The "manager" is unprofessional as well. Prime example of trickle down failures.
Great location in the historical downtown area. It can be noisy at times. Not a lot of power outlets and they removed the WiFi for person computers, which sucks. I love libraries though, they provide knowledge to individuals who cant afford books or are unfortunate. This one is also structured nice and very presentable. So four stars.
Librarians at this cozy open spaced library love to encourage children to read. Grab a book and sit in the inside green patio with the trees! Always new books on cd and movies available too. Edit: After multiple summer reading programs and weekend activities with my children at the Yuba County Library, the loyal staff of educated readers continues to shine and offer smiles, recommendations, and the best service I’ve ever had at the library or otherwise! Thanks! Oh, and the new seating is fantastic. I just want to keep reading there all day!
