It is actually quite sad that a store with such beautiful merchandise has such poor quality, and even more horrendous customer service. I ordered the Del Mar couch from them. I originally waited 4 months to receive the couch, then they delivered half the sectional in a completely different color - not only once, but TWICE! How do you "custom make" furniture, and then make half the sectional wrong. So every thing considered, I waited 7 months to receive the correct couch. The customer service was terrible, not only were they not apologetic, but they did not do anything to expedite my purchase after their mistakes. I have had the couch for a year and it already looks deflated. My boyfriend and I both work a lot, therefore we haven't used the couch that much. Also, we do not have pets or children - yet it already looks like it has been ran through. Every time I have used the couch, feathers poke me and are consistently falling out. I paid $2,700 and waited almost a year for this piece of garbage. I would highly suggest spending your money elsewhere.
This is a terrible place of business! Stay far far away. They don't deliver as promised on you sales sheet and they don't stand behind their products. We spent a great deal of money at the Portland store when we remodeled our home back in April and we are still waiting for some of it! The sales woman who was happy to sell us the furniture, and I'm sure happy to receive her commission, said she couldn't help me! Terrible. They should be ashamed of themselves!
They have attractive looking stuff but not quality. All the furnitures are made in China and upholstered, so the wood and accessories are not quality. They just have a good looking designs. Too pricey also.... it’s good for those who have tons of money and like to change esthetics every couple years...
Horrible customer service. Four week delay and the furniture shows up damaged and with missing pieces. Consistent 30+ minute hold times when contacting customer service. It’s sad the good mostly staff at this location is losing their jobs. However, do yourself a favor and DO NOT consider Z Gallerie for you next big-ticket purchase.
Very disappointed. in 12/2017, I spent about $3000 with a dinner table and chairs. After a couple weeks, I noticed that the chairs came defective. I called customer service and they did not want to help. They did not want to honor the warranty and took a lot of effort to be able to have the chairs replaced. I am talking about several phone calls, claims with BBB, reviews, ... After about 4 month, I received the other chairs and guess what, they are also defective. These are even worst. I know that China also send us good products, but theses chairs are just terrible. About $500 a piece and just falling apart. Now I am starting another battle with them, but i am not willing to wait 4 more month. This is outrageous. It is like I just gave them my money and only one year after I will receive what I paid for. Maybe.... The issue id that they product is not good, but even worst is that they don't respect the customer and don't stand behind their own stuff.
Went to go get a bedroom set and dining set and the lady mentioned everything on the floor was final sale. When I got home, I noticed the dresser and nightstand weren't done properly, they didn't put the handles on my husband tried putting them on and they didn't even leave the screws to put them. The chairs for the dining set weren't put on right either and the second day two of them broke when my daughter sat on it. The rest of the hairs had the legs all loose. But they won't do anything about it because everything they have on the floor is final sale. I payed 80 dollars for delivery and assembly so they can do a crappy job. Good prices nice models but never will buy something there again.
I'd have to say I was in awe when I first visited this store but aesthetics is all this store and company is about. We bought over $7,000 worth of furniture here which we had to PAY TO have a truck pick up, and we received a damaged sofa. The customer service in California is the most worthless dead-end ever. We would have been lifelong customers but the fact that no one did anything except offer a 5% discount was unbelievable. It is as if I bought a second hand couch. THIS COMPANY HAS TERRIBLE REVIEWS ONLINE INCLUDING RIP OFF REPORT, PISSED CUSTOMER AND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
Found this store on offer up and was interested in a light grey couch, went into the store and saw the couch and color in person and was pleased unto I bought the couch and they delivered me a brown couch. The first delivery I told the guys its the wrong color and they agreed, they delivered again and said this was the only color they carried and I was wrong. I have pictures to prove the color swatches i chose, Tanya will not sell me the couch i bought that I found on the picture. Very disappointed.
I'm not into writing negative reviews online, but I have to share my experience with Z Gallerie in hopes that others will not have a similar experience hint: shop elsewhere. Here are highlights of my one and only order from Z gallerie: 1. Four identically packaged drapes being three different lengths 2. Being unable to return said drapes to the store because "matching" drapes at the store were also of different lengths. I waited for matching drapes to be sent to the store before I could return the wrong lengths. 3. As I was skeptical of the attention to detail at this store, I tried to cancel my couch order. I was told I couldn't cancel my couch order 1 week after placing it because "they already started making them." The manager assured me that the order would be right. 3. After 12 weeks and one day 85 days, the couches arrived, but unfortunately, they were made incorrectly. 4. Customer service did not believe that the couches didn't match until I emailed them photo proof. 5. I am told that a replacement couch will be here in another 12 weeks. It cannot be expedited. 6. Again, I was told that I could not return the couch for a cash refund even after it was made incorrectly. Here I am, waiting for my couch to arrive 6 months after paying for it. Hopefully the next couch is correctly made, but I am skeptical. If you are thinking of shopping here, let me give you some advice: No matter how cool your wife thinks the couches look, they are in no way worth the pain of dealing with Z Gallerie customer service. Trust me. Life is too short.
I'm so sad the store is closing. I've literally done my whole house up and Z Gallerie and love it so much. I went today and took advantage of the great sale because they're closing, I had to use up a gift card that someone had gifted me a few years ago for Christmas. Just so sad they're closing, people you need to get out there and take advantage of this sale before it's gone.
