ZMR was fantastic. We arrived later than we thought. Mark stayed and waited for us to make sure we got our key. And then, gave us a flashlight to find our way and asked to call him to let him know we found our cabin. The cabin was sublime. Perfect. Clean. The entire environment was wonderful. Really great place if you're planning to hit Zion and Bryce Canyon.
We loved the location, how spacious the rooms are, and they provide everything you need microwave, mini fridge, toiletries, etc. However, there were bugs, and there was a leak in the roof. I'm sure it is not like that in every cabin, but we were unfortunate to have that happen to us. The staff was great and informative. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the roof leaking and the bugs.
I really enjoyed the lodge. my family loves animals and farms so I was very purposeful in picking this location. The staff was very accommodating when I called three times to change our reservation. And then again when I extended our stay by an extra day last minute. We stayed in lodge 156 and had almost everything we needed for an extended stay with family. The only two things I wish I had brought were a vegetable peeler and an ice cube tray. The beds were very comfortable, we had plenty of blankets and pillows, the AC kept us very cool and there was plenty of hot water to keep 6 people clean. It's become common for hotels to not offer stay over service but the cleaning team came by everyday to check on us. Our favorite parts were when the animals were brought out of their pens each night for visiting and the ranch scavenger hunt. You get a nice prize if you participate. I won't spoil the surprise and tell you what it is. I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about the location but when we got up at 5am we were on the Zion shuttle within 45 minutes. That's parking and everything so I'll have to say that the location is great. We went hiking another morning and were in the trail within 15 minutes. You'll have to get up early to do that though.
OMG talk about making memories! If I could I’d write an entire article about this remarkable place and honestly I was hesitant to review because we don’t want more people doing to this gem - we want to keep it special! The ranch itself is huge, grazing bison, pigs, chickens, hens, ducks, and gorgeous horses and ponies too. Endless things to do on the grounds, activities for the kids, delicious food at the restaurant, lovely gifts in the lobby and the cabins are secluded, we’ll maintained and the night skies are magical. We will make The Zion Mountain Ranch a part of our family’s history! Oh, and there’s a cafe a couple miles down the road for casual dining, fuel, gifts and you’re right at the park entrance.
Four of us stayed in a two bedroom cabin for four nights. The separate toilet room for each bedroom is so small that you have to grasp the jambs of the door to pull yourself off of the old style low toilets. There isn't enough room to just stand to get off the toilet as you normally would. I am average height and can't imagine how a tall or large person could use these toilets. The bedrooms have a bed table on each side of the bed and each table is supposed to have a lamp for reading in bed. One of the bedrooms only had one lamp and the other bedroom had two lamps but one was broken. I took the broken lamp to the office asking if it could be repaired or replaced. I was told that would happen that day while we were at Zion. It didn't happen so I again went to the office and was told a different lamp would be delivered in half an hour. A small lantern style lamp with a 25 watt bulb and no lamp shade was delivered. No way to read with that minimal amount of light. I gave up on a lamp replacement. The three fireplaces as listed on the website for this cabin are actually 3 small gas stoves that are the only source of heat. There were two TV's in the cabin. One in the main room was a smart TV. The one in the lower bedroom looked to be about 15 years old and was the picture tube style. We learned that none of the cabins have cable and the only way to use the TV's was to attach your laptop by HTMI and stream from your own accounts or use the very old DVD's from the office. The restaurant food is OK but the menu is very limited. The water to the cabin shut off one morning but did come back on after 10 minutes.
What a special place! The staff is professional, positive, and fun! The cabin was very clean and large. We are a family of five. The landscape is stunning and pristine. This was the perfect lodging for our family of kids ranging from 12-17. There was a campfire in the evening that was very relaxing and allowed us to enjoy the view. Part of what makes this place so special is the staff. We took a trail ride and our guides were fun and engaging. They shared about their lives as wranglers and showed a genuine interest in the guests. Five stars!!!
Stayed with my family of 5 July 2022. Fantastic location and nice amenities including a nice restaurant on site. Sister property down the road with laundry and restaurant neat as well. Main reason for 4 instead of 5 was our cabin was right next to "handyman" cabin which was a mess with wood, ladders, hoses, etc strewn about. But the cabin itself was nice. We also did a day trip to Bryce Canyon from here, worked out well.
This place is really special. Loved the animals, especially the dogs. Our cabin was amazing, the staff were so accommodating and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Our first time visiting Zion and we thought it was the perfect base if you value peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings.Rooms: 5/5
I have been coming here for the last 4 years and love the location and the atmosphere, plus you cant beat the welcoming animals constantly roaming. If you have the chance try to get the rooms at the edge of the property with the view of the canyon, you will be amazed. I will state that the food has DECLINED exponentially in the last two years. Not only is the way it is prepared subpar, sloppy even, but also the ingredients used in some of the dishes are clearly not home made and inferior to what it claims to be. I would Highly recommend staying here, and enjoying the space, but do NOT waste your time on dinner.
Good rooms, individual parking, very spacious. Wi-Fi speed was not so good, though. Breakfast was expensive and with super little choices, hardly anything for kids got some granola on request. Quiet rooms, good for stargazing at night, no light pollution at all. Nearby activities: Bryce Canyon, Zion Park, Grand Canyon north rim
