Love the gym atmosphere and a great selection of equipment. Only two drawbacks that causes it to lose a star is that the parking is limited and that while the selection of equipment is great there's only 1 piece of each type which can mean you end up waiting if there's something you really want to use. Definitely recommend this gym though!
Great gym, got to meet Brad. He is down to earth and as genuine as you see on the videos. Awesome experience and good arsenal and other training equipment. The guy with curly hair that signed me up for the week was polite, helpful and recommended some local spots. Powerlifters, bodybuilders or influencers this gym will keep you entertained.
Despite what it says on the sign above the door, this not the best gym in the world, but it’s pretty good and cool people with bug Instagram followings like to train there. Parking is really bizarre, there are like 5 guys that work for the strip mall that sit in the parking lot all day making sure people don’t park in places they aren’t supposed to. And Zoo Culture doesn’t have many spots out front. Drop in fee or day pass of $60 is the most I’ve ever seen at a gym like this, by far. I guess they do that because 1 they know people come because of the Instagram hype and the famous people who train there, and 2 to make sure the place isn’t overrun with people. It wasn’t crowded, but I went at 9am and again at around 3:30pm. Equipment was really nice, they had a lot of it. Machines, platforms, squat racks all pretty good, specialty bar selection and quality was pretty good. Fantastic lighting and lots of mirrors. Given the price to visit, I don’t think I’ll make it back, but for $120/month, I would train there if I lived nearby.
Great gym. They have everything you could need, plus, it’s very organized. Very unique environment, the type that motivates you to push even harder than normal. Especially when you see other pushing super heavy. This gym ain’t for weenies straight up lol. Everyone wipes the equipment down and everyone wears masks as you can see in the pictures ;
Zoo Culture did not disappoint, but I think that was mostly because it has been a place that I've wanted to visit for a while now. I went during a non-peak time as I was passing through LA on a road trip, and that's my only regret. Would have been cool to see the place with a bumping atmosphere. The Zoo has a lot of different equipment–probably the largest variety of bars I had seen to date. However, there are a large number of them that are owned by members and are off limits to general members. Cool concept, but I wouldn't trust my bar being left there, even if there was a collar locked onto it. While it was a cool atmosphere and a neat layout, the equipment is going into disrepair fairly quickly for a newer gym, and the changerooms were simply two single washrooms, which I found weird for a gym of this popularity. If you're ever in LA, it's worth checking out though, and it has equipment for all training styles.
One of the greatest gym there is, I was here for a visit, love the environment, and also the music that is allowed at the gym....we need one at College Station
Best experience ever! Bradley was training me for awhile with his partner on the left Brian but Brian hasn’t been around much lately, I’m not sure what happened to the guy but Bradley won’t talk to me about it.
The atmosphere and culture at this gym is out of this world! They cap the membership at 1,000 people and after two months in I'm happy to be member 953! I actually live by the Grove in the La Brea area but drive up 2-3 times a week to train hard, record videos and just be myself with all of the rules. Come ready to have a good time and laugh a ton!!! I
Too expensive for any gym, owners are jerks and I'd rather rate this gym less than 0 than to even recommend anyone go here
Excellent gym with many special tools. There are no changing rooms. Only just 3 flat benches and you have to wait a lot during rush hour. Very nice and helpful guy at the entrance.
