If I could give a zero rating I would, the level of service is poor and there is no communication at all from the staff to the public, you do don't even know how the quee goes, there is no organizing at all. It's like the only people that go in are the relatives of the staff members

Unorganised. There is a security guard present that sends around a list. On this list you write your name. This list dictates the order in which the guard lets people enter the office. Every 15min seven people are let inside the office. Standing in the general line outside does not guarantee you a spot. Make sure your name is on the list and try and listen when your name is called. Arrived at 7:00 with the line already being this long. I think for you to be first in line one has to wait here from way before 6:00.

Wow, After standing at another home affairs office without help we came to Bethal.....They were so helpful and friendly....Did not hesitate to assist us at all. It actually looks like they want to help....Well done....

I have an open passport application from 2010, so I cant apply for a new one. No one answers the phone numbers that are provided. Can someone there please read this and reach out to me.

The worst experience in a long time. Been here since 07h00 and it is 14h22. So many people have not been helped because these offices use "runners" to add names on the list at a fee so that they dont have to que. So many people were pushed in lines that were not even here in the morning. Totally unacceptable. So many people here since before 07h00 and are lying around in the dirty street waiting for their names to be called.

On the one hand I must say that there are two individuals Whose service I experienced that work there that are super fast and super efficient, on the other the department's systems are ineffective. I would suggest a separate counter for collections which would free up resources for applications - or maybe one day a week where the office handles only collections. When the system is offline as it so regularly is would it be too much to ask that one person make a 2 word post on the facebook page "System Offline" and then "System Online" when it is back online. This is not the 80's when tech was slow and scary... we are already in the 21st century.

Awefully slow. There is very little order on how buisness is conducted with people being treated badly. Building over filled and seating insufficient. Expect a long day at the home affairs just to get the simplest of tasks done. Very understaffed with staff working at a slow pace and everyone vanising at times leaving the queue to grind to a complete hault. Bring water and something to snack on to help pass the time.

Useless and disrespectful supervisor, So useless my application was never going to leave that office. After being in the line for 6bhours she tells me I must go to Secunda and she was just plain rude as if she owns the place, forgetting we pay them with our taxes

Iv had a passport since 2008 now i need to renew it at another home affairs but i can't apparently the home affairs in bethal did not register on their system that i collected my passport it's been 10 years how can that even happen? Iv been traveling with this passport and the system states i still need to collect my passport. I really give up i fail to can.
