5Ways Spar

This superspar has degraded in my opinion. It is well stocked and the queues usually move quite quick. However, for some constructive criticism, I feel that this store could be a lot cleaner and the people working the tills could be a bit more friendly. There are often boxes or other items lying around in the aisles and today it was particularly bad.

This Spar went backwards a lot since I visited it 2 years ago. I remember it as a place that is well organized, neat and clean. But when we went there two days ago I was very disappointed. The place is not as clean as I expected. At the food section there were flies and insects crawling around. I don't think I will make an effort to go there again.

5 ways is the Spar the community protected with their lives during the looting. But the Spar we have to shop at now is in a terrible state. The fridges are all but empty, the floors are dirty and very often you cannot get what you need. Why can we not have a Spar to be proud of like in Salt Rock or Ballito. Not a pleasure to shop there anymore. It's the talk about town. Very sad when we all protected it so. Hopefully one day things will change for the better and we can be proud to shop there.

I found prices marked on shelves do not correspond with the computer at the pay point. Normally you have to pay more as the marked prices. Also new stock in carton boxes block the passages and one cannot reach items in fridges.

Never buy chicken from here, have had so many bad experiences with 5ways spar chicken, every time the chicken is off, whether its from the fridge or the freezers, and the ones you get that is swapped for you turns out to be off as well, i am so frustrated, i will be buying meat somewhere else from now on where it is actually FRESH, this is absolutely disgusting, when will they make sure they are selling fresh chicken? When someone lands in hospital from this?? Literally the only safe thing to buy from this store are the non perishables seems to me.

The BAD smell is overwhelming.

They were not that busy, and I feel we waited a bit long for our breakfast...toast came after the breakfast, but we had a lovely time, and the atmosphere, and waitress was fantastic....

Nice and clean, wide variety at the deli for lunch.
