Absolutely brilliant!!! Service with a smile and eagerness to assist. Room was great, clean and looked after and prepared with care. Treats for conference were tasty, fresh and well presented.All Round it was a fantastically fabulous experience and I cannot recommend enough. It is absolutely worth a visit!!!!Rooms: 5/5

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The service is super friendly and efficient. The facilities are great and well maintained. Set on a beautiful large plot next to Irene research farm. Has great conference venues. Lots of space to go for a walk or a run.Rooms: 5/5

The lodge occupies an expansive space, with a beautiful lake and grassy open areas for guests to enjoy. The room we stayed at didn't really have a view - there was a small embankment that rose up from just beyond our patio, and then was obscured from further view by shrubs and trees. Nonetheless it was a very nice room with carpeting, a safe, hairdryer, lounge chairs and fireplace not sure if it works. The lodge is slightly further out from the places we were visiting, but nothing too distant - the Voortrekker Monument is a 20min drive away. Small peeves were with the soap and shampoo which came in what seemed to be single use bottles. The viscosity of the liquid soap and shampoo also seemed more like jelly than liquid, and hardly lathered. Our WC also seemed to have a weak flush. Given some power points also had direct USB charging ports, I also expected universal charger options, but the sockets did not have this. Parking is free on the property for guests. The price of this hotel was very reasonable by our standards.

Beautiful serene gardens , stunning lobby, with staff greeting you with friendly faces. Room service was great and the Toasties awesome, but we had to wait two hours for towels, after phoning them 3 times. We didn't have any help with our suitcases, we were on the first floor with no elevator. I did not feel the personal touch that one should feel from a 5 star hotel.

Beautiful location and really well kept grounds. Staff friendly and the rooms were beautiful. Room service pizzas were better than 80% of the restaurant pizzas you get elsewhereRooms: 5/5

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is courteous, friendly, and prompt. They have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. Love the grounds and access to the farm next door. Perfect setting to unwind.Rooms: 5/5

Generally the place is nice with exellent Customer service. But there is room for Improvement when it comes to Food combination amd availability.the 3 days i stayed there was no chicken yet it was on the MenuRooms: 4/5

The standard garden facing room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very plush and comfortable. The service and the food however were a bit disappointing. We left our room at 9am to have breakfast and get a massage. When we came back to the room at 1pm it was still not cleaned. When we called reception to enquire as to why our room was not cleaned as yet we were told housekeeping didn’t know we needed the room cleaned, really? On the morning we were checking out, housekeeping knocked at our door at 9am and even opened it while we were still inside. This was very unsettling as we were startled awake from peaceful sleep. As nice as the ambiance was, it’s not a place I’d visit again.

Went there in February, the place is stunning, the room was quite big cleanliness could be better, breakfast and dinner buffet were very good, the staff was helpful and efficient. The lake and the birds make for a very relaxing environment with beautiful sunsets.

Nice place but it's heartbreaking to see the calves locked in small kraals and isolated from their mothers...... The calves are lean and have no room to move around...... Its really a sad sightRooms: 3/5
