Agama Tented camp is a true oasis in Namaqualand. The great hospitality of the owners turns it into a little paradise! We stayed here for a few days during our road-trip from Cape Town to Namibia and this place turned out to be the most relaxing of any. We skipped our plan to drive out to Namaqua NP en made a long walk instead on the 7.000 ha farm. The quietness and tranquility was beyond belief. The owners had gone to great length to fulfill our diet wishes and we felt spoiled by their great care and attention. Highly recommended!
Coming from America for my very first out of country trip I was blown away! Agama is an amazing vacation spot! From the moment you drive through the gates it is enchanting! The wildlife and scenery is beautiful and abundant. The tents are amazing and the beds are so comfortable. Linda makes the best home cooked food and Victor provides superb entertainment. It is welcoming from start to finish and will leave you wanting more! This is a magical getaway spot!!
Wow!!! We ended our cycle trip here at Agama and it was wonderful arriving to this beautiful location. The veld here is wonderful, the birds are incredible and it’s so so peaceful! The food was enjoyed by everyone, I am plant based and they did a wonderful job in creating meals for me. The tents were warm and the hot water and rusks in the morning was the best! Could have stayed here for a whole week!!!
Great place to relax, watch the stars and enjoy the silence. Best sleep in years. Loved it.Rooms: 5/5
We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to visit Agama over the easter weekend 2021. The tents are amazing. Very cozy and very comfortable. The view from our tent “stoep” was absolutely breathtaking. Tannie Linda and Oom Victor goes out of their way on every level to make your stay as memorable as possible. And the food was to die for! Real South African “plaaskos”! And the freshly baked bread!!! Amazing! Agama tented camp will definitely see us again! And we have been telling everyone we know about this absolute jewel of a place!
I have been to Agama Tented Camp a good couple of times and everytime I am amazed by how the hosts manage to maintain luxury in such an isolated spot! With the most comfortable beds, accompanied by the amazing scenery, this might be the best rest and breakaway I’ve had. I wish I had more stars to give!!! 6/5 for the food served as well. Pretty sure I gained a couple of kilograms the last time I was there! Busy planning my next trip...
Tranquility heaven! The home made food, boma fires, big steaks, dainty desserts, hot showers and cool swimming pool made us feel utmost welcome. The hosts are incredible. Agama tented Camp made us want to move to Garies Rooms: 5/5
Amazing hospitality from Victor and Linda. We had a short but wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend as an overnight stop or for a couple of days unwinding in the wilderness. Great food, service and setting!Rooms: 5/5
Awesome place, awesome hosts!! Have been to this lovely camp a couple of times now and will definitely be back for more. From the food, to the pool, the bar, the luxury tents - amazing amazing amazing!!!Rooms: 5/5
We were there in February 2014 for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Although it was not the flower season we made a very nice drive with Victor. The tents were cosy, the shower in the cold morning nice and warm and the food Linda prepared of outstanding quality. And not to mention the pre-diner drinks around the fire in the boma! Great. Thanks Linda and Victor. Hanneke and Ben, South Africa Carla and Joop, The Netherlands
