Augrabies Rest Camp

Nice lodge. Went the to have something to eat. All the good service did not help to stop my disappointment with my meal. I ordered a pork belly starter. What a big mistake. Meat was tuff, really tuff. Was hoping that the crackling would save the day. Then a massive disappointment, no crackling just tuff pork skin. The chef needs to review his skills on this one. Avoid this dish at all cost. Score for dish alone is 0.5 out of 10. That after I tried to order the biltong soup and was informed that the do not have the dish available although on the menu. A 2 out of 10 is a very generous score.

Rude and unpleasant manager. Overweight guests eating burgers and fries. if you want to booster your cholesterol in an unfriendly environment, i recommend this place.

Old place, run down. 1956 vintage hotel, not even 3 stars. Cheap for a reason. Budget stay. Lots of broken tiles, rusted showers, broken drains, broken fittings in bathrooms, limited dstv channels, slow service in restaurant.Rooms: 2/5

Camping is an absolute bliss. Neat ablusion. The restaurant has amazing food. Biiiiig portions. Really worthwhile. Staff is friendly and helpful.Service: 5/5

Our visit was so relaxing after our long drive, and staff was really friendly, they really went out of their way to help us. I requested a cupcake for my daughters 16th birthday with breakfast, due to us being on the road and they really suprised her with the most beautiful and largest cupcake I have seen, and they gave it to her on the house. The food at the restaurant was great and chalet was clean and very comfortable, with everything you need for your stay.

The rooms were lovely. Restaurant is spectacular. There is a little store next door with the basics and situated close to Augrabies Falls as well as Kakamas.Rooms: 5/5

Nice place to stay, it has a restorant, bar and friendly staff always ready to help, big room and bathroom
