Honestly this is the best hotel I've ever been at. It is very nice and fancy. The staff here is very nice and so is the food. Every thing is absolutely divine it's like you can stay and never leave. The wifi is good too. I will absolutely come and stay here again. I have a very good time with my family. Riverside hotel Umhlanga the says it all. The hotel is aside the river facing sea view and river bisect near hotel. Main road from Durban M4 lead to the hotel. They is bar, swimming pool , conference rooms, luxury room with access of free wi fi.
Can't wait to go home, that's the only good thing I can say. My five day stay here has made me so incredibly appreciative of my home. If I were here for personal reasons instead of work I would have left after the first night or before.Rooms: 1/5
Room was very drafty and not up to standard. Staff in restaurant not helpful or attentive. Barman used pre mixed drinks for cocktails.Rooms: 3/5
What a fantastic experience! The personal touch from the staff is excellent. Rooms were spotless. My steak last night was as perfect! We used the hotel as a stay over after the rugby. We will do it again and again! Thank you Riverside!
At 11pm at night this man from housekeeping just barged in without knocking and his excuse was he forgot to put a bin lining in the bin. It is absolutely unacceptable to come at such an hour and scary to think if asleep someone can just come in where your belongings are. We know he was there to spy and he purposely looked for me to see what state I was in. I am disgusted and have never experienced this before. What if I was coming out of a shower or getting dressed and he had just barged in? As a woman I felt incredibly unsafe and my privacy violated. This is not acceptable service and we did leave management details so something could be done about this. I will never stay there ever again and your staff has cost you a future booking.
I went to pick up a friend that was on conference for the week and the overall appearance of the hotel and conference facilities looked great. The staff were helpful in locating the correct conference room and were aware of what was happening at the hotel. The security was helpful although very busy. I'm sure a stay at the hotel will be a great experience.
I love everything about this place. It's my second home. Riverside Hotel is the place to spend your holiday. You will never be dissapointed. Last year they were able to assit my daughter by rearranging the rooms to accommodate her group if friends according to gender. Yhooo the hussles of last minute tag along friends. Thank you so much for that. This year we went for Comrades Marathon..My husbands birthday was on Monday 12 June and the Restaurant Manager and his staff blessed my husband by singing happy birthday to you and wished him well, during breakfast. Thank you once more.
