We were really exhausted after a long trip... the smell upon entering the house was very bad.. the set up was neat and clean.. filriendly staff.. the rooms also had a stench and the bathroom drain was blocked. Rooms were clean spacious.. i see a comment on the reviews regarding the light in the room.. yes at night the balcony light is quiet bright the block out curtain are not thick... no rails to hang your towels.. as someone else mentioned above the coffee sticks for 4 ppl sharing a room.. only 2 sachets with no and no milk... the breakfast I heard from a few people was so good but i do believe there was another chef and very accommodating... breakfast was really sad.. i.wish i had taken a picture.. but it wss not worth a picture... we were 4 people staring a room and only 2 nstj towels and 2 hand towels...so i feel this place has potential but not keeping to their standards... also under renovation for many years...
I came here during the month of Ramadaan and the extent to which the staff went out of their way to accommodate me was amazing. They would get up at 4am just to serve me breakfast, before I could start fasting for the day. Always warm and friendly. A truly humbling experience
I would definitely recommend Al Beit B&B to anyone planning on staying in PE, The place is well kept with good facilities , great customer service, and the breakfast which is fully halal and delicious is included in their price.
I absolutely loved this place. Staff was amazing. Accommodation was homely and the cook makes a amazing breakfast. I would recommend this place to any traveler
Very neat and spacious. Rooms are very nice. Lots of space to relax. Only making contact with Al-Beit was not that easy
After a long drive from Durban Al-Beit was a great reprieve. Our room was upgraded at no extra cost. The staff are friendly and the food was great. Will definitely be staying here again
Had a fabulous time with my wife on our anniversary. Halaal place. No beer in the sitting rooms. But overall loved it
I lived about a month there last year .. I would recommend living here.. Cleanliness and classy treatmentRooms: 5/5
This place is a disgrace to the institution and classification of a 4 star BnB. As a discerning traveller, o have never come across a host that is so inflexible to accomodate guests. Upon arrival, we got the strong smell of smoke emanating throughout the lodge. Fortunately it didn't permeate throughout the Lodge, but slightly irritating. Upon further investigation, the chef was using woodfire to cook certain items, with little to no ventilation. Perhaps the use of LPG Gas could achieve a similar effect? Upon getting to the bedroom, there was no coffee as they had 'run out' of coffee. So we went without coffee. The Coffee/ tea station had TWO UNWRAPPED tea bags and two sachets of milk and only Brown sugar. The kettle was placed on a desk at the coffee station, but, alas, there was no plug. We had to place the kettle on the floor next to the bed! There was no trash bin in the room to capture tissues, empty cans etc. The 2nd bed was so close to the wall, one virtually had to climb over the bed to get to the beautiful stack-up sliding door. The establishment switched on the veranda light outside this door which turned the night into day, making it difficult to sleep the first night. Upon requesting that this offending light be switched off the following day, met with some resistance and a veiled threat had to be used for the establishment to switch off the light. Upon requesting what was for breakfast was met with a non reply. We were simply told that Breakfast would not be served in the Restaurant because of Covid. I found this to be ludicrous as there was sufficient physical/social distancing and would easily have accomodated the 6 or 7 guests present. Breakfast was thus served in the room in a rectangle foil container consisting of a tiny portion of baked beans, one scrambled egg, 2 slices of quartered brown toast and a small dried chicen fillet which was probably prepared the previous night. The beans was placed in a rudimentary hand made partition, separating it from the rest of the meal. As utensils, we were provided with plastic knives and forks which broke at the 1st attempt at applying butter. No condiments such as salt or pepper, tomato sauce, nor were serviettes supplied. At a three star BnB, we are accustomed to cereals etc. Here, no tea or coffee was offered. Is this the way this FOUR STAR BnB is using Covid to cut costs?. They should in fact welcome guests with open arms, since we were all punished during the earlier levels of Lockdown...not go CHEAP. This BnB should also consider installing much needed Air Cons especially for summer. The establishment has a comprehensive food menu. However most of the meals are served with rice. We call the establishment to see if we could swop out the rice for naan bread or roti and were replied with a blanket NO. We decided to order pizza from the establishment. We received an SMS stating we could pick up the ordet at 18:04. Upon going to collect, we were advised it was not ready and they deliver it to our room. The order was placed at 17:48 and we received it at 18:48....an hour later!....which we were about to cancel. When it was delivered, we had ASK for plates and serviettes and tabasco sauce. We were handed two tissues, but no tabasco sauce. As the rice would've gone to waste, we decided to head into Town, which is 7 minutes away and opted for Nandos instead. Upon requesting coffee again today, they were waiting for the driver. We were thankfully handed two sticks of coffee. Upon requesting sachets of milk, we were given a little jug of milk covered with foil. One would've expected complimentary hand-sanitizer in the room, but no such luck. As breakfast is a big part of ny travel routine, I wonder what will be served tomorrow. Will I come back here? Only if someone hauls me here by thr scruff of my neck, or if they improve and sincerely commit to genuine hospitality.
Nice affordable accommodation, a bed and breakfast type of setting. Secure parking, a swimming pool, very clean, big, good looking rooms each with an en suite bathroom, DSTV in each room, dining room, common lounge and TV room, 3-way folding sliding door in each room for an alfresco feel. Heater, fan, etc.
