City Lodge Hotel, Port Elizabeth

Has that country feel, but all the hi tech capabilities. And literally across the street is the beach. Lovely restaurants fir all types of foodies at the beach front. The rooms are comfortable. Lively aesthetics...blissful Delicious, South African comfort food. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Had not been in P.E. for about 5 years, the area around the City Lodge hotel, looks well developed, classy and delightful.

Had a nice time at the city lodge the view from the reception and restaurant is amazing, and they have good service with nice meals. I would definitely recommend them for a great stay for business or for a well deserved breakaway.Rooms: 5/5

The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The food was great and filling. I recommend this place. Rooms: Very clean, and they provide a Desk and proper chair if you decide to work later while you are in your room. Nearby activities: Walk along the sea. Virgin active gym very close. Safety: Area is very safe, I did a 10km run at 6am while enjoying the beautiful of the sun rise. Walkability: Wheelchair friendly Food & drinks: Their menu has a lot of options and it caters for meat lovers and vegetarians. Their breakfast is the best. Noteworthy details: Free Wi-Fi and extra blanket is available. Aircon work perfect.

Loved my stay here. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. The only not so good experience is that my milk in the my room was sour.

Good room ambience. Only complementary breakfast with limited choice. Night dinner not available. Only bar. Worst thing is no hand shower for toilet. No free water bottle, we must purchase, 1 litre 40 sound African rands. Overall the beach view is good, nearby mals available, but after 7pm roaming without local residents is too risky.

The hotel is really great for business and short vacations. Rooms are kept neat and tidy, it's loadshedding proof. Staff were the most friendly people you'll ever meet. Lovely views of Humewood Beach from the restaurant. One thing I would have liked to have during my stay is a personal room fridge though Overall its a fantastic hotel to stay in. Nearby activities: Hume wood Beach across Beershack and white tiger 3 blocks away, Barney's Boardwalk casino across the road. Walkability: Safe to walk at most times of the day and night. Food & drinks: They have a great dinner menu, a decent variety of drinks.

Excellent location, good breakfast selection. Unfortunately the rooms are not the cleanest. Other than asking guests to save water, no other water saving strategies have been put into place during the current water crisis in Gqeberha. The shower takes forever to heat up and taps let out so much water. There is also one plug point which makes charging devices very difficult. The takeaway breakfast was awesome.

It was an awesome stay, I feel well rested. We were kindly offered early checkin and late checkout. The food was perfectly prepared, the time at the pool was so much fun. I was so pleased all the TV channels had perfect connection and view. Thank you for your service we thoroughly enjoyed our time and experience.
