With my first experience During the early morning hours a group of guys tried breaking in by kicking our door down, luckily i managed to scare them off, i told the receptionist who didnt seem very suprised at this so it mustve happend before.The staff very very friendly!! BUT!! the owner on the other hand , what a rude & obnoxious individual!! During my stay i paid for me and my guests, being from cape town we booked a room because we had an event and we basically used it to get ready for our show, came back afterwords and got ready for our after party and then eventually came back later the evening just to have this man ask me and my guest, how many people were paid for and who all these people are that are in and out our room??And that its late and that we are up and down his trying to sleep. As a guest i dont feel the need to be answering this to anybody, owner or not, WE PAID for our room, and im sure we can go as we please. He still get into my face telling me his the owner and his far older than what i amwhich is not relevant im a paying customer. He should rather refrain from interacting with guests, because im not the first to complain about the way he speaks to people.
This place was the most disgusting accommodation I've ever experienced. The beds weren't made, the toilet was dirty and the ceiling was moldy. The place smelled like rotten animals and every single item of furniture was covered in stains. We slept on the floor and left early in the morning. Never again.
The staff needs abit more training. A better and closed off braai area would be a great addition. Staff is friendly and prices are very reasonable. Actually a great place....would definitely refer it and visit it again. Walking distance to slot of attraction. To everyone that works there....THANK YOU FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY!!!! The place definitely needs an update, but its fine for now
I didn't enjoy my stay and I definately would not recomend to anyone. There was barely any water to shower, the sheets on the bed were dirty, the bedrooms smelled like mould, the place was noisy as people arrived from outside and walked on the top floor. The place is old fashion and a bit scary I would say. I didn't feel comfortable, and they only took cash for payment. The wi-fi was good and free. There is space to park vehicle inside the property.
I've stayed in a lot of hostel but this one was the worst I can think of. There was just nothing good about it. The dorm room was just a room with as many bunk beds as possible in there. They were so small and uncomfortable that you couldn't even sit and have to lay down all the down. Even though this place is called Lodge & Tours, they seemed kinda confused when I asked them about a tour to Addo Elephant park. They just told me to go and speak to the manager and acted like it was none of their business. All in all I didn't feel welcome at all and was happy when I finally moved on.
I was there with my girlfriend for a night. They couldn't control other guest that were partying next to our room. Couldn't sleep because of loud music. Worst experience ever!!
planes flying overhead the whole time. There wasn't much entertainment and half way through our stay they asked if someone could share our room. On the first day i walked into my room and found a tampon on the bedside table
Aside from the friendly staff, I have to admit that the rooms were dirty and the toilets smelly. I also found it difficult to take a shower because the water was cold much of the time.There is room for improvement. I give it two out of five.
Room was dirty, furniture was broken and it didn't smell good. The owner is very rude and swore at us when we wanted a refund. Didn't end up staying the night.
Standard dropped, there are a lot of things that need to be replaced or improved - water systemshower, beddings, toilet etc it is not up to standard. Staff are friendly though
