Description

Al Jaamia was built in 1911 and is better known as Stegman Road Masjid. Our vision is to enliven the masjid so that it becomes the centre of the community offering a comprehensive range of educational, social and community driven initiatives.
Under the fairly newly elected Executive, Moulana Muhammad Carr was appointed as Amir, supported by Sheikh Ismail Londt.

Attended my niece's Nikah. Muslim marriage there
Alhamdulillah, every moment spent in class on Friday mornings is certainly time well spent. The teachers are efficient, knowledgeable and very professional, Alhamdulillah. At the same time, they exude warmth and compassion. Their passion is not only evident but also contagious, Subhanallah. The content is inspiring and very relevant. It inspires reflection and desire to shift and grow, in shaa Allah. Premises We are currently at a temporary premises which largely measures up to the Stegman road premises. It is a comfortable space with a positive energy; wheelchair friendly and ample parking
Rating 1 star as was locked and could not access when I went to pray while travelling in the area 6:45 pm in January between Asr and Maghrib prayers
One of my favorite mosques to attend. Quaint, quiet and peaceful. Full of historical importance as one of the first Masjids in the cape flats and suburbs and with the view of table mountain to go with it. It is close to the train for people needing public transportation. Has decent facilities and lots of activities and youth and female classes makes this place even more special

Beautiful mosque. The women's bathroom could do with a bit of TLC. A very spacious mosque with ample parking. The grounds is filled with greenery and can host mildly crowded events.

Used to work in the area, nice peaceful mosque, not a lot of people around, nice and quiet place. Sometimes you have to ring the bell so the caretaker can open if it's not around waqt time
