Amaciko Guest House

The guy who opened for us was rude and was shouting @ us for just talking and laughing. We were never informed that we will be sharing the house with other people in it and now we had to eat outside because we wouldn't be able to eat quietly inside as we were a group of 6. The lady who was hosting us was welcoming and kind but the guy, was very rude. We cleaned for ourselves after cooking and left the place clean & tidy. But I wouldn't recommend Amaciko to any couples or friends who just was to hangout. We had to talk softly because there was a lady with a baby in the house but the baby cried so loud in the middle of the night and woke us up! Rooms: Bathroom is too small and in our room the fan was not working. So, it was too hot.

Amaciko Guesthouse is one of the great hidden South African and African hidden treasures still left and which keeps reimagining itself in an ever changing market. Considering the great names which have been guests and continue to be guests it is an open secret which manny need to be clued to. It has a great ever evolving history which each of us as guests not only get to witness but be part of as well as make. Its social media presence does it grave injustice. It would be admirable for the guesthouse to rectify this especially in a world where first contact means social media and the web. However, even with this handicap it service and actual infrastructure is both world class and flagship of African excellence. As travelling professionals who encounter every range of accommodation we find if exceptional and feel that any of our peer and persons of other lifestyles and forms of professions we feel it a must and recommend it so both for business as well as leisure. One could use it as part of their vacation as family as well as any business would do well to utilise it for its own accommodation needs. I state this objectively. They have a quick and easy process for busy people. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check-in very late, at 19:00. We got to there super late and I didn’t wanna wait. We were shown available room options already set up to our comfort and extra care was taken for request suitable to our work. So this was a big plus. The service was exceptional as well. We had a wonderful experience at the Amaciko. The staff member we encountered was eager to help! He took us through orientation with relative ease. The staff we encountered both over the phone and physically while at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Amaciko should be most proud of this - give your staff awards! Shops are quite far to go to on foot, there's a KFC, Steers and Debonairs with in ordering range. We utilised their online systems and got what we needed. To access other shops we would suggest the very affordable UBER rides readily available. Those to are within proximity. The relaxing and almost isolated area within which you find the guesthouse has only those welcomed limitation. We imagine utilising your own transport would be as welcoming and prove as enhancing the experience. We took advantage of the downtown location to walk, check out beautiful welcoming area which lends itself to beautiful relaxing conversation.. It was great. I can see why this is the perfect place suitable for a weekend getaway in. It is a best kept secret and Amaciko offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out. One of the top best places we've ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and high quality service. I have stayed at dozen of places in. This was one of the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of we could possibly have. Though there are no unabled-body persons for the days we are here the Amaciko Guesthouse has been designed for all persons needs. Excellent property and very convenient to activities with intimate outside park, effective parking and state of the art security and service. One cannot over emphasise that all staff has been extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful; and that property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm. Overall, we had a great experience with Amaciko; staff was incredibly accomodating and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect. We've recommend Amaciko to everyone we know: our family, friends, and colleagues. We now recommend it also to you.
