This lodge is really tiny for a price they charge. Bathrooms is really small and toilet. The shower taps also hadn’t been serviced for a long time. The air conditioner vents were broken from the top hence difficult to adjust the air circulation. Nevertheless it’s a good lodge to get some good night sleep.
When I got there, there were a lot of people queuing to be helped, and there was only one person at the reception, who was continuous responding to phone calls as he was assisting us. The same thing happened with checkout, the receptionist was continually answering phone calls and wasn't focusing on us. Perhaps, there should be a separate person to deal with phone calls instead of the receptionist having to deal with everything. The toilet flush system was not working. There's very few parking, which is free. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

Was received by Mr Chiliza who made us wait for hours before being allocated a room as he denied our booking even after showing him our invoice, after waiting for more then 2 hours we suggested he consults his seniors which he didn't want to do, his seniors mandated him to allocate a room. Had to wait for two hours for my food order which was taken by a lady who was crumpy and couldn't care that we had waited that long for Pizza. I was and still am as I'm currently in room 221 disappointed at how we were treated by these employees, we end up being termed difficult customers due to incompetency, lack of professionalism and employees who do not value the service they give. Compliments be given to Mr Mthembu the Security Man for his excellent services. I pray our reviews are ready as we have more people disappointed by the services recieved
Wasn't able to stay there as Siphosethu the staff member who took our reservation for a week-long stay turned us away after we arrived and sent our Uber driver away. We called Siphosethu from the airport and offered to pay her to secure the room, however, she said we couldn't because they only take walk-ins. We even called Siphosethu with updates and she gave no indication we would lose the room. Siphosethu said nothing of losing the room until we got inside with our family wife, myself, 2 daughters 25 and 19,13 yo son and 2year old granddaughter. Siphosethu even went so far as to laugh cynically at my wife after she gave the room to someone else she knew - all of this in front my wife and family. The only consultation is a coworker of Siphosethu's saw what was happening and pleaded with Siphosethu to honor her commitment to us. However she gave us attitude and made jokes with her customer/friend. We had to summon and pay for another driver to take us to the Regal Inn, however, they only have one night available. Could have gone anywhere, This is our first time to Durban.
Literally neighbours with 24HR McDonald's very convenient. Adequate very safe manned parking. Alert security. Pleasant entry to dining area and front desk. Cordial staff. Helpful staff when we were tired to go up stairs with our luggage. Clean adequate room size, just the hard bed was the negative. Choice of pillow texture, loved that. Enjoyed the breakfast with a wide spread to select from. Value for money all round. A definite repeat.
The team is very friendly, treatment is top class and shopping centre is very close we enjoyed ourselves there Rooms: Small touches on bathroom Nearby activities: Workshop music, and ti go watch the boats Safety: Security is top class they attend each and every one comes and out of the promises, the access of the rooms using electronic which is very good can't cheat

On arrival I was created by the friendly receptionist. Room was clean and to my satisfaction. Had a delicious Pizza from their Al la Carte menu Breakfast was serve and value for money.Rooms: 5/5
Room 124 was not so welcoming. The carpet on the right side of the bed was all wet. Think there's a leaking water underneath.
