Make sure you walk with them around the car and double check for dents. I made the mistake not to and I didn’t take photos of the car. I handed the car in at Pretoria and they pointed out scratches and dents that I know for certain I weren’t responsible for. The spare wheel also had a puncture. Don’t waist your time phoning them or contact them via email, as they don’t respond to any mails or calls. I refused to pay the excess as they haven’t send me proof of fixing the vehicle before I rented it or after. Now they handed me over to CWX debt collectors. The number they give you to contact them just rings. Definitely scamming people out of their money.

I had a bad experience, the employee at counter did not give me full details of what I was looking until I had to come back again, bad service, he does have regard for clients. It all started after i hired a car at Avis in Schoeman street,formerPretoria and after 30 days expiry period i dropped the vehicle at Vryburg Avis because i was that side. After three days Avis debited my account without releasing the deposit that was held on my card, when i went to Avis to enquire I was told its an issue between me and my bank and that information was very new to me and i got it on my second visit to Avis to enquire about my deposit, so my time was just wasted by something that was supposed to have been done in the first place, as a consumer i need to be provided with whole information that i need and its also a responsibility of Avis agents to do that, even today my deposit is still held up by Avis no one is prepared to take responsibility despite my trouble calling Avis head office and spoke to one Christell who promised to help but so far she did nothing

Horrible experience in returning a vehicle on behqlf of a friend. When I asked to be dropped off at my home literally 7 blocks from Avis's office, the gentleman told me "I can, but we charge R440.00 for a drop off."  Absolutely ridiculous. They also do not bother to answer their landline, either that, or the listed number is incorrect.

For a small town like Vryburg was pleasantly surprised.

Helpful friendly service. They guys there really go the extra mile

Few cars available. Couldn't get my option. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Went there this morning as per booking made, boom no cars available please return 2 hours later
