Once again, we express our sincere disappointment with Europcar Klerksdorp. Following your call, and in discussion with you, it was agreed that we would receive our rental vehicle next morning at 10:00 am. We left it at that and continued with our business until just before 10:00 am next morning. Upon checking my phone there were three missed calls with you wanting to reconfirm the confirmation of the pick-up time, 10:00 am. We were left waiting because you only sent the driver after the call. Supposedly, your protocol only allows you to leave the office once you have confirmed the confirmation with the client. We left it at that. We called you this morning and very consciously asked you, “when will it be convenient for you to receive the vehicle’’? You said 12:00 noon. We were once again made to wait because we kept the appointment. We made two calls to you enquiring about the whereabout of the driver. Upon arrival of your 2 drivers they seemed to have know nothing about our 12:00hrs agreement until we called you to inform you that we were waiting. They were dispatched only then. There seems to be a lack of communication in your office, or a total disregard for the customer.
The service at this branch really sucks. My husband has had numerous issues each time his company books cars for him from here. The latest being, My husbands company booked a car to be picked up on a Saturday and we arrived and office was closed. We tried to reach the cellphone number of a Lucky with the help of security. Lucky was apparently meant to be on duty but did not answer any of the calls. We arrived at 8 which on their website indicates as their opening hours. Eventually at 09:40 a Thato arrived and when we tried to speak to him. He said he was off and could not assist so I proceeded to ask what happens in such instances and he completely ignored me uttering something in his language when I indicated that I did not understand he looked further annoyed and said there's nothing he could say as he was off duty. When we decided to leave then he said my husband should wait a few minutes and he would assist. Why put paying clients through all this. If the branch cannot service clients or be an efficient pick up point they should shut down. As mentioned my husband has had similar issues in the past with the manager at this branch as well. Really dissapointing!!
Poor all round. Bad service both telephonically and in person. No etiquette for service delivery or client care. Overpriced because of the lack of options in Klerksdorp. If it wasn't an insurance request tonise them, would have avoided completely. Couldn't give no stars or would have.
Absolutely useless. Went through the whole process of registering online and providing all the details but was still double charged by the Klerksdorp and national branches of Europcar. Refund still outstanding. Europcar representative committed to replace worn tyres of the rented vehicle but expects the paying customer to do all the running, and waiting, and paying additional personal costs because all the drivers are too busy! So, who ensures the safety of the rented vehicles? The Europcar Klerksdorp branch fails dismally.
Not recommended. We booked a car online, were charged and debited for the car, but when we arrived to pick up the car, there were absolutely no vehicles available. This resulted in a lot of fuss to arrange alternative transportation and to get refunded for the charged amount. This is totally unacceptable. To make matters worse, we were visiting from UK and this all leaves a very bad impression of South Africa. Never again! Two stars because the premises is clean and apparently organized, and the staff were friendly and sympathetic.
Car not clean at pick-up. Cooldrink bottle under seat, chips packets in cupholders and both front seat carpets dirty. Car definitely not properly prepared for this rental.
VERY BAD SERVICE!!! Right from the time I was in the process of hiring the car, one employee was not happy that I am collecting the car on Saturday and was not friendly at all, not knowing that the other employee had already said it's okay. On the day of the car drop-off, one of the employees refused to help me saying that he is busy, I had to go inside Eurocar and get help from Lee-Anne. Thirdly, It has been over a week now and I still haven't received my deposit - I was assured that I will receive it in 72 working hours... How many 72 hrs have passed already? I will never use these people ever again. This place does not deserve a star, the only reason I'm selecting this one start is so that I can be able to post, ridiculous that we can't post without selecting a star!
garbage service got a speeding fine with the rental car but me checking the speeding fine Europcar is charging me double the fines penalty with 18% on top of the doubling, basically a type of fraud. skip this company at all costs. i have prove of the ticket and of them up charging to make a profit
Great service, wonderful experience and good people
The lady at Europcar that helped my husband and I was fast, friendly, competent and went out of her way to assist us. We had a bad experience when our car was filled with contaminated oil at Konigs Garage outside Potch, but because of her, we were able to see our daughter run at the Super 16 event in Orkney. Thank you for making a difference.
