Avis Vryheid

I had the worst experience ever at this vryheid branch of avis car hire. As the last review said they showed us absolutely no initiative in regards to getting us in a vehicle and on our way. The manager of the store left his trainee in store that had to call him after every question we asked. When Kyle the manager walked into the store he couldn't even look at us when he greeted us and I had to figuratively beat the information out of him as to the way for us to best proceed. In the end he misinformed us to the point that we wasted our who day and left vehicleless. We even returned the following day to and after contact various stores that offered us ways to sort out our problem the avis store in vryheid was the only one that could not accommodate us without cause us the most inconvenience they possibly could. If it had not been for the fact that my mother was gravely ill and was truly desperate to reach her I would have cancelled everything. Needless to say that I will never ever ever ever use Avis vryheid ever again and highly recommend that others do the same... would have given them a ZERO star rating but that's not possible for some reason....google sort this out please!

The agent at the e counter was not interested to assist us at all. The manger was nowhere to be found. I managed to get his number via there H/O and there was no response. An absolute useless day spend trying to hire a car.

Quick service and convenient location. But be warned! I received a vehicle with a plug in it's tyre, which was not visible to me when I did inspection - Avis in Joburg then charged me for a new tyre to replace the one I "damaged" - R1900. After a hell of a fight and resorting to Facebook I eventually got about 90% of my money back. So some advice: video all round the vehicle with your phone, take 20 photos, including the spare wheel, inside, everywhere - pictures can be invaluable when they later try to charge you for stuff that is not your fault. But I must say that the staff at the Vryheid branch tried their best to sort the problem out.
