I recently rented a vehicle from Cape Town International Airport where I arrived early hours of the morning and revived a car that although was in the correct category, was not the car I was expecting. The friendly person behind the counter explained that as I was in the city for a while I could call to swop the car. I did so and was transferred to Wynberg Avis, nearer where I was staying where Anne assisted me and promised to seek out the particular car. She contacted me to update me and eventually sourced the car, had it brought to the branch, cleaned and delivered to me to swop. Wow, what service! Many thanks to Anne and this branch who exceeded my expectations with customer service.
Terrible service, returned vehicle after 7 week rental, detailed inspection which is fair enough but 3 staff chatting in a language I have no hope understanding as an Englishman with not a word of English until I got bored and walked out.
Not so easy to deal with AVIS. Collected car at CT Airport and had to make a special trip to another branch to add a Second driver. All of this could have been done online. When we eventually got to the other branch, they knew nothing about adding the second driver and ended up in a long wait.
Having to rent a car a d leave R2000 for caladoral...cash back is promised 6 days after u bring their car back is a big , big fat lie...this company make u wait for a month before they reinstate ur money....they have a great fleet of cars and even when u hire the car good and friendly service but the hasle come when u must get ur money back ....why don't they just tell u that u have to wait a month for ur money ...
Well informed staff with reasonably good service, but had to wait around for sometime to get some attention. Weird location for an Avis too, prefer using Airport collection and drop off. Ciao, SB
DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS ! Big mistake that costed us extra 500 rand. We got charged over a bit of grass on the floor And they said the car was excessively dirty lol which was completely untrue. Its normal that there are going to be some sort on the floor, we had to drive to give the car back. I have never had this problem before ! Never again !
My dad has used Avis Wynberg twice this year. On both instances...it was covered by our insurance company. I can't say much other than the service was excellent and the staff friendly. Thank you to Natalie for answering any questions we had. Will definitely consider using them again if the need arises.
Excellent service. Always communicating and kind stuff. I have left my child's jersey in the car they called me to return.
