If you're a Dancehall fanatic or just want to learn more about the Raggae & Rastafari culture, then Bassline is the place to be. With plenty of space to bust out those dance moves, three functioning bars and all the best tunes old and new alike, you're set for a wild trip to the Caribbean. Oh and it's always 420 in there if you know what I mean... Great place to turn up on Thursday nights.

Has hosted some of the most epic international gigs. Bar is slightly overpriced. Not the best or most attractive part of town especially at night. Uber drivers tend to get lost finding the venue however are always waiting in number as an event ends. All in all a very decent experience every time!
I was here to watch my favorite band and wasn't over-overwhelmingly impressed with the venue. There were no directions to get to the entrance from the parking lot it was my first time here so I had no idea where I was going, so we accidentally stumbled into the backstage area and got a less than welcome dismissal from the security staff when we got there and then asked where to go. It felt dirty, it took a long time to get drinks, so buying multiple drinks at a time was the only way to stay hydrated. I will say that it is an ideal place to have gigs though, the indoors amphitheater ensures that everyone can see what is going on. A little work and this place would be the go to place for all gigs.
Great venue and helpful staff. Had an incredible time shooting backstage for Jeremy Loops. The Venue also has great and safe parking. It's a really good place for an awesome night out.

My wife's cell fine was stolen at the bar at a PRIVATE work function. When asked.to.see camera footage I was told that I need a warrant.....YOU will not be having big corporate functions from us anymore....Kind Regards K.James
Loads of fun and dancing to reggae, dancehall and afro pop..you don't need to dress up, it's chilled. Ive only ever gone on Thursday for the dancehall nights. Only heads up: if u don't smoke and can't stand the smell of smoke it's not your type of vibe.
Great Dancehall Reggae club. I would suggest staying on the upper level where it's more open and airy if smoke bothers you. I went on a Thursday night and the crowd was lit. There were dancers working the stage and keeping things entertaining. Bassline definitely brings that Caribbean vibe to South Africa
