Knowing Paarl quite well, I was amazed that I hadn't heard of the Blacksmith Kitchen before. This is definitely a hidden gem! Located in Northern Paarl on the Pearl Mountain Wines wine estate, you have amazing views of the valley and town below. The restaurants' interior isn't very large, however they do have a covered outside seating area which also takes advantage of the views. I decided to go for the Lamb Shank and my wife went with the Chicken Parmesan with Risotto, and both of us really enjoyed the food. One recommendation I can give them is to expand their wine list slightly to include more of the local wines as well as craft beers, but overall we had a great time.

We had our end of year lunch at Blacksmith's Kitchen. The ambiance was lovely and so were the waiters. The food was particularly delicious. I had T-bone steak which was made to perfection with chips and a fresh salad. The service was quick and courteous. Although on the day it was particularly windy, it did not in any way take away from this lovely experience.

Very lovely place to be. The staff were very  friendly and even offered blankets to keep warm while reclining and enjoying the spectacular views. The food was well presented and not pricey at all. All-in-all, its a beautiful "secret" restaurant, comfortably nestled up Paarl mountain.

Beautiful and welcoming as always. Great view with even better food. Come for a "dressing up" type dinner, or drop by for a quick coffee or oreo milkshake.

Sunday lunch with family. Was nice with beautiful views. Food was good with a comprehensive choice of starters, light meals, mains, desserts, service friendly and prices are realistic. Wonderful place for a good meal.Food: 4/5

The food looked pretty and tasted good. The service wasn't very good and it was not busy at all. Overall we won't pop in there again when we go to Cape Town.

Enjoyable food with limited alcoholic been beverage selection.  Gorgeous views sitting outside looking out toward Bain's Kloof Pass.  Tranquil with pleasant service!

We were just passing through and happen to find this gem! Amazing! Amazing views, amazing food, amazing staff.
