I have come to Viva 3 times and have enjoyed it everytime. My favorite is the chicken fajita onions only and no dairy and my father a vegetarian loves the veggie fajita. The veggie fajita comes with tofu and some interesting vegtables. I would encourage bringing a sweater or jacket though as it is often cold inside. There are games for kids/adults, a foosball table and corn hole/ bean bag toss. The service of always friendly. We also tried a mango aqua fresca and horchata during our last visit. Both drinks were delicious! There is a room that is partially partitioned off in the back that can be used for parties or large groups.
It’s good place to have Mexican food. Good customer service and good food. Prices are reasonable. For kids they give drawing sheet and crayons. Tortillas chips and salsa for everyone. Salsa was good. If you are there for bday dine or lunch don’t forget to ask them for bday surprise.
This was my second visit, first visit being when it operated as Viva DF. New ownership kept the same menu for the most part if I remember correctly. The ambiance has steered a little away from “street taco / tequila bar” to a, well, Mexican restaurant. We went on a Friday evening for margaritas, chips and dips. Margaritas were okay for the price. Overall not bad service.
Complimentary chips and salsa were delish -especially since they used a vegetarian friendly fryer for them. Cheese Quesadilla with Tofu had lots of Tofu but not much else in it. Service was friendly.
Good casual Mexican food with fun and modern decorations. The service was slightly slow, however we did go around brunch time on a Saturday. The Viva margarita tasted like orange juice and costs $6.99 which was a little disappointing.
This little place is easily one of my Mexican restaurants. The staff is amazing, friendly, and remembers you. The food is great all the way around. They have the classics good expect from A Mexican restaurant including burritos, classic tacos, fajitas, and quesadillas. The alambre steak is my favorite is phenomenal with just the right combination of everything. The chips, salsa, and guacamole are all perfect. However, take a night, get adventurous, and order their custom tacos. So far my favorite is the Bacon and Scallop on a warm corn tortilla. Each taco comes with cabbage, pineapple, crema mex, and sesame seeds. This is something that just doesn't seem like it should work but one bite will remove any reservations you may have had. On the desert front they have several tasty options. I don't usually like the tres leches cake, but theirs has won me over and often finds its way home with me to round out a great meal. I highly recommend this for your next lunch or dinner.
My boyfriend and I tried Viva Mexican Kitchen for the first time and absolutely loved it! We had the Parrillada for two and a Viva la Piña Margarita definitely recommend this place for simply hanging out or for a date.
Excellent Lunch. Excellent Service! Very Impressed by the freshness and food. Love the bright, and colorful decor! Great find in Morrisville. Will definitely return!
Interesting experience. We started with the Queso Fundido starter. I was expecting a bowl of queso to dip chips in. Instead, it came on a skillet and looked more like a plate of nachos without the chips. Unfortunately the cheese was not melted through. We had to send it back to have it heated more. Even then it was not a dipping experience, had to use a fork to scoop the cheese, poblanos and chorizo on to each chip. It was fairly tasty, but a bit greasy. For the entree I went with the carnitas enchiladas, which disappointed me as well. The pork itself was cooked ok, but didn't have a lot of flavor. There were a lot of poblanos, similar to the queso. My primary gripe with this entree is they use those rubbery textured shells. Also, there were occasional crunchy bits of something inside the enchiladas, like little pieces of very overcooked rice. Not sure what it was, but it left an unsettling feeling on my dental work. Definitely will try something else on the menu next time. Service was good. There was no wait and the staff was friendly.
Cool ambiance and awesome food. Kid friendly as well. The patio lunch on a good weather is simply wonderful. Today we had dinner and the kids played some foosball after dinner. Finished it sharing an awesome dessert.
