So disappointed. There was such an unfortunate misunderstanding so my hair was not done. The other ladies look super and l look forward to an opportunity next time. Thanks anyway.
After 15 years of my mum sister and I being customers at blu gel - I am absolutely disgusted by how we have been treated. On Christmas Eve, my sister and I had appointments and had our hair curled with a hair iron. Understandably this is peak trading times and everyone is under a lot of pressure and time constraints however, we were both left with permanent heat damage because of the high setting of the hair iron. The hair iron was so hot that it burnt the towel I was told the iron was changed - However our hair was left smelling disgusting like wet dog/burnt hair- classic sign of heat damage if you look it up even after washing our hair the smell is STILL there. In calling blu gel to understand why this has happened we were asked to come in where everything from our hormones to our shampoo was blamed without any actual advise on how to fix this or acknowledging that we are unhappy with the service received. We were constantly met with “we don’t understand how this can happen” and yet when we came into the the salon on Christmas Eve our hormones, shampoo choices etc has never caused this kind of damage. I have completely lost my natural curls after one appointment there and to be met with excuses and blame shifting was completely unexpected and disappointing to say the least. If you look up heat damage you will see ends of pin straight hair which is exactly what my hair now looks like. If you look up this kind of smell it is caused by heat damage - we were made to feel as though we were lying for what reason honestly??!! Our only intention was to get help with this - not be met with blame and a clear lack of professionalism . So utterly disappointed!Service: Hairstyling

Saying I’m impressed would be an understatement! I had the most amazing experience at BluGel. The service was impeccable and all the staff were such a joy to be around. A special shoutout to Shantal who did the most amazing job with my hair & gave me exactly what I wanted! My hair took hours & so many hands but team work truly makes the dream work at BluGel - they went out of their way to ensure my hair turned out exactly the way I wanted. The attention to detail is meticulous, as I still received follow up calls on whether I was enjoying my hair & advice on maintenance of the style. I am genuinely so happy!Services: Hairstyling
