Blue Cottages Country House

Stayed here for a night with my partner and it was just an OK stay. We stayed at the blue cottages on our way to Kruger, so the location was good for getting closer to the park but it wasn't so great for town or places to eat that night. The cottage area was beautiful - inside a very large plantation. The area was very green with lots of outside space. Finding the place was a bit difficult as there were signs saying the name of the place on both sides of the road with big fences preventing you from going in. We had to call the owner to get into the fence - so if you do not have a phone with international calling - this might be an issue if you arrive later in the afternoon. While we stayed here there was load shedding - not at all the owners fault - but the restaurant they recommended we could not get to due to this and ended up eating bread with peanut butter good thing we had this in the dark for hours. The booking reservation said it was going to be a double bed but it was two single beds. The cottage was cute but there was lots of bugs and mosquitoes - but they did have nets for the beds. Also the place had many dogs that were very yippee and jumped on top of you and scratches your legs. The owners also have a Cafe at the front of their drive way that had a good breakfast. Overall the stay wasn't the best and we wouldn't likely come back.

Everything was of top standard, the décor throughout was lovely, clean and well-maintained. Jaco was an exceptional host and made our stay most memorable. Our favorite part was most definitely the doggies that came to say hallo every day.Rooms: 5/5

Basic self catering facilities however bedroom was comfortable and suitable for the 4 adults. Kitchen light needed repair and no instructions on how to work grill oven with plates. Braai area was well set out. Hosts were pleasant and helpful.

Almost got bitten by a dog. Why have dogs in a place where your guests have to sleep and be comfortable

Neat clean rooms, friendly management and "go the extra mile" service. A must see..

Nice quaint farm cottages. Accommodation is nothing really special, but the area is beautiful and quiet. Good value for money

A very nice and quiet place, I was there for business and I enjoyed my week'stay despite the fact that mosquitoes were rife because it was summer
