Blue Diamond Lodge: Springbok

We broke down at 7pm 50km away. Blue Diamond accommodated us last minute on a Saturday night. They were very helpful and accomodating. Nice place to stay, great breakfast and lovely garden/park. Thanks BDL team!

This is an amazing family-owned and run establishment. The staff are friendly, professional and extremely responsive. I loved the setting and the welcome of the peacocks ...made us feel very special. The water features created a relaxing atmosphere. Cudos to the team...we would definitely like to come back for a longer stay.Rooms: 5/5

The place was not my first choice when looking for a place to stay during a four-day work visit to Springbok but at the end of our stay, we were glad we stayed over. Because of the flower season, the preferred guest house around Springbok was fully booked, so we had to settle for what was available at that time. We had a late check-in just before 6 pm and a quick tour of the place and get allocated to our rooms. We met the new management on our way to our rooms and were informed that the place offers a dinner meal and if we were interested, we should inform them timeously. Having travelled almost 600km from Cape Town the idea of not driving into town to find food was welcomed without any doubt. On day 1, the dinner was lamb curry with rice, side sweet potatoes and salad, on day 2, we had lamb tripe plus dessert. On day 3, we recommended lamb chops with potatoes mash and roasted veggies plus dessert and the place gladly make it happen . All meals came with either a soft drink or water. The rooms had a DSTV package with selected channels like Sports, News and Movies. We did not get to use the swimming pool as the weather was not favorable for a dip.

Definitely not 4-stars. Beverly is the only 5 star in Blue Diamond Lodge - friendly and honest! Excellent, clean bedding! Bed should have been replaced about 3 years ago. Woke up to no power @ 08:00 load-shedding, without warning and no back-up power. Had to be out @ 10:00, power only comes back on @ 10:30? R950 for room 7…not value for money! Left with wet hair and without coffee! No happiness!

Situated just before you enter Sprinbok, nestled at the foot of a small koppie. This offers great views with a cozy feel. Rooms are nice and spacious with a hint of a rustic feel. Every room has an aircon which is essentially in both summer n winter. Included is a mini fridge. Bathrooms are old school type but in great condition. The only downside is that some rooms face the road with a tinted sliding door which could provide a privacy concern if the curtains are not closed properly Stuff are welcoming and will go out of the way to help guests. Overall great place to stay .

Excellent experience at Blue Diamond Lodge, clean and the guys at reception are really friendly and helpfull. Lekke brekkie aswell. Will definitely be back wgenever i am ghis side of the world again. Thanks JP and TeamRooms: 5/5

Fantastic stay here and 18 Aussie guests impressed! Beverley particularly was awesome and all staff friendly and helpful. Very organised and welcoming. Drinks prices crazily generous Great to meet Marc sorry not full name too. I will definitely be back
