This was our first visit to Bokkie Park. We where definitely impressed. There are bunnies, ducks, grease, and chickens all wondering around. U can feed the animals and jus picnic around them. There are also horses goats and loads more to see. If u are in the area it is definitely worth the visit.
It's a great place to go for a picnic with your friends or family the environment is kid friendly and there's lots of fun things to do like ride horses and stuff. There's ducks, rabbits, peacocks, horses and even chickens and it's all free. They also sell food and ice cream there
Very nice family friendly place to take the kids , bit run down , but a very enjoyable area for small kids to feed the animals
Impressed with the state of the animals and upkeep of the park. Some animals don't even want to eat what you bring because they're well fed. Hay all over and truck with veg and greens. Only worry is the leaning water pipes next to the dam, iy needs to be addressed. Family favorite spot for picnics
Great view and spacious with a braai area too. You also have equipment for the kids to play with. I truly enjoyed myself
A very big park with a dam good for picnics. We had a great time horse riding and playing with the kids.
What a awesome little park. Great venue with lots of slides for the kids to play on. Pond, trees, train and so much more to look at. Love the houses and rabbits. You can buy food for the animals and this is definitely a place to bring the kids if you looking for something to do with them. Worth a visit
Great fun to take my girl and Wife for som Family time. Riding the pony, feeding the rabbits, climbing and sliding on the aparatus, great music by an entertainer, alot of stals where people try selling goods and services. Great Organizing. Flea Market every month
Used to go to this place all the time. Such a shame its in such poor conditions. Last time i visited was in 2019 and i truely wouldn't go back especially now. You used to be able to eat on the train and explore it. Now its just a major hazard. We would buy carrots to feed animals. And often visited the Craft Market as a child on Saturday. The dams are filthy and you hardly see the animals there used to be. I hope they can work on this or it will close like the other Bokkie parks.
This Boksburg gem of a farm is really sad to experience at this state of poor maintenance. However it is still a great space to take a walk and also let the kids run around freely after the lockdowns. Feed and engage with the remaining animals. This place is a sanctuary in Boksburg and the market happens every first Saturday of the month. Lovely environment to get some fresh air indeed. The rabbits and the peacocks are beautiful.
