Entered the store today. Found the item I was looking for, proceeded to the till to pay. Greeted the cashier lady. She did not even look up at me or acknowledge me. Ringed up the item, passed the card machine to me. Still not saying a word. That was odd and very unprofessional behaviour. Let alone disrespectful and rude. Can you believe this type of customer service in this day and age still? It's rather go to another hardware store like Brights or Buco. This store does not deserve my money
Shonn was incredibly helpful. His service was quick and efficient after struggling with other hardware stores for weeks on end. The only sad part is that I only got hold of them after many weeks of frustration with other places. I should have contacted them sooner. Thanks a mil

Checkout is unfriendly and slow. I go elsewhere every time unless for some reason this is significantly more convenient. Hardware store of last resort.
To the management of build it. I would just like to say that your employee Shonn is an absolute world class employee. He convinced me to buy all my materials from your store , he is an absolute sales man. In 2 weeks he got me too spend about R28000 in cash at your store and that's all thanks to his manner of how he treats his customers . He goes above and beyond to make sure you are sorted.value him because good employees are hard too find, I know, because I have my own business. Thank you
I was introduced to a sales rep named MK and what a pleasure dealing with him . He went out of his way to source the products I wanted , ensured it was all parceled up and ready as soon as I arrived at the store . He even WhatsApped me photos to ensure I was happy with the product before I made my purchase . Great service ! Thank you MK ! You a star ! I will be returning soon to your store for some additional purchases
Staff was very helpful, manager as well. Went above and beyond to assist me with what I needed and explained a few things without feeling irritated or bothered. Very rare to find such good customer service these days. Had an exchange as well and went super smoothly. Not the first time I've been to this buildit and have never had issues. Thanks all.
The service in this warehouse or store has been very good many times that I've visited it. The price is not always the lowers, but the quality of most the products are worth the extra Rands.
The service from the staff is unparalleled! They are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, even to people new to building projects. You can tell that the staff have a passion for the job. Highly recommend chatting to the folks there for your projects.
Most pathetic customer service I have ever experienced from a hardware store. Tried to get a replacement for a two day old drill that had developed a problem with the keyless chuck and was told in no uncertain terms that they do not take responsibility for the quality of the product as they are “only a retailer”. Manager then very condescendingly explained how the hammer function works and tried to explain why the problem was caused by that. Was told I would have to wait for help for half an hour to an hour in the store while they get feedback from the manufacturer, as they depend on the manufacturer to make the decision to replace or refund. Left my details, but two hours later they had still not contacted me and they kept making excuses for why they couldn’t simply replace when I went back. The drill has now been sent to the manufacturer without any evidence from build it that this has been done, and once I receive it back I will certainly never do business with this company again. Based on the reviews I have since read online, I can unfortunately say that my experience doesn’t seem unique, and that they have been delivering poor service to a whole bunch of people who have not been satisfied with a product they have been sold. Would rather support independent stores or Builder’s.
