Loved the tranquility. Went on a Sunday to have just a cute breakfast and the staff was amazing . Enjoyed the view as well. The menu consists of alot of variety so much to choose from and accommodates even the smallest of Budgets . It Closes really early so I'd say its perfect for breakfasts and Lunches .Dinners not so much .Also .Also Google their menu before you go or ask their friendly staff to advice you on the best meals
Breakfast was very average-while the eggs were cooked to perfection, Hollandaise saucenot out of jar was very lacking-salmon?maybe non existent for the price and bun was soggy. Service was good, however, but that may have been because restaurant was stuck away and basically empty. Some decor was dusty. Covid protocols were observed.
First time dining inside Cafe Duarte and this cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Conveniently located, it's a great spot to grab a bite or have some drinks. The staff were all very hospitable, efficient and complied with Covid-19 safety regulations. We were served by Melody, who was very friendly! The menu offered a variety of dishes at reasonable prices. So glad to have found this hidden gem in the heart of Randburg. I'll definitely be back again soon.
First time to visit the cafe and our Waiter Lungelo was super friendly and very welcoming we didn't even plan to be dinner but because of his warm welcome we decided to stay for drinks and food. Compliments to the chef I had bacon, chicken and mushroom pasta and my friend had portogues steak both our meals 10/10. And Lungelo's service definitely a 10/10-minus nothing will definitely be coming back
Perfect place near our office for a tranquil lunch break with hubby . My husband still insist that they make the best prego rolls in the city ! I rather enjoy their end of meal never disappointing Don Pedro!
Visited for dinner. Waitresses were polite and efficient. The decor and layout are aesthetically pleasing. The drinks were well prepared and the tea in particular was presented beautifully. To eat, we tried the peri-peri whole baby chicken and the prawns. Portions are generous and the food is priced well, however the flavour profiles are not well developed. The chicken was tender but not quite peri-peri i.e. lacked any heat for Portuguese cuisine and the prawns were fairly sized and well seared but needed something more - perhaps some garlic. Regarding the sides - the potato rounds were good slightly oily and the salad and steamed vegetables were average. Also, one of the customers was vaping indoors which I considered inappropriate as vaping is not typically allowed indoors at these establishments.
Had a fantastic experience at Cafe Duarte. Tasty meal with great flavors and amazing service. Our waitress was so friendly, helpful and somehow knew what we wanted before we even asked. Definitely a place that I will be returning to so I can try more of their dishes.
First off we had to go find a waitress to take our drink order as we had been waiting for quite a while after being told to choose any table by another waitress who didn’t give us much thought. The restaurant was quite empty. They couldn’t find the 1L Catemba item on their system even though it was on the menu, so we had to change our drink order which didn’t start the lunch off well. We ordered the Sangria which tasted purely of wine, but the fruit were a nice variety and fresh. The Caesar salad was topping heavy which was nice to an extent but more greens would’ve been appreciated in a salad as it was quite a thin layer of lettuce at the bottom topped with an overload of chicken, bacon, egg and parmesan making it feel more like a mixed platter than a salad. The spicy espetada wasn’t very flavourful or spicy and was tough and the side of chips weren’t very good. Prices are good, but we won’t be back as there are better options at similar prices.
This place is so Beautiful. The food is to die for. Service is Awesome. If you in the area its a must.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere, views and staff are great. The food however left much to be desired. The presentation was perfect but the taste lacked.
