Capitec Bank-Kenilworth Centre - Kimberley

I was at the atm past 1 o'clock today, 11 July 2022 . The queue wasn't long at the atm but you know people take their time. We were less than 10 but the queue wasn't moving. Only one atm was working. I don't know what's wrong with the other one. I decided to go inside. Old story of more charges if you deposit inside than using the atm. I sat inside for more than 15 minutes with no help. 3 people who came after me were served I don't know what they were there for, it was ticket number 113,114 and 115 and i decided to ask the lady who was sitting at the front desk, don't know if that's the reception or whatever they call it. She told me there is only one teller for deposits and there was no one at the deposit counter when i checked . Then a gentleman who was there when i went inside had gone outside came back and looked surprised that i was still not served. She asked the queen lady who was not even bothered if the atm opposite Spur was working. Then she said yes.Only then they told me to go and use the atm upstairs. I lost my precious time, she knew there was another free and working atm, why couldn't she tell me. I really got worked up. People must go to work willingly and help customers not to feel bothered especially in that line of work.

I came to Capitec after a horrendous experience with Standard Bank aka. Worst bank in SA. Now I suggest Capitec to everyone. It is unarguably the best bank in South Africa for low to middle income earners. It is simple, cheap and efficient. At this particular branch, the service is always competent and friendly.

I was not happy with the consultant that told me I must go get proof of address just to get a new card .Went to rondabosh and they assisted me with not a problem.Will never use Capitec Kenilworth again.
