This facility is the opposite of a responsible organization. They habituate baboons to receiving food from humans. The baboons lose fear and respect for humans. The baboons once released are aggressive and destructive. I stayed at a nearby lodge and baboons had broken into houses and other facilities. They destroyed property and threatened humans. It is wildly irresponsible to teach baboons to expect food from humans and then release them to terrorize the neighborhood. A human will be injured or killed by these baboons with no fear of humans. It is unconscionable.
What a great place with devoted ppl! I did 2 weeks of volounteer and i really appreciated it.
This organization strongly cares for the baboon orphans. The people are lovely and they work hard day and night to rehabilitate them to eventually release them. I highly recommend this place.
Really a must see if you are into wildlife conservation of any sort. Also go to their website and support them
