The rooms are very nice and have very welcoming staff members. The outside can do with a bit of paint, but overall it's a decent place to unwind. The price per night also very reasonable. Not far from shops although, you feel like you out of town.

Our shower was leaking. The bar closed and we weren't informed. The jacuzzi was also not working. The pool was ok. Our room didn't have a locker. The place is ok it just needs renovations as you can tell its old. The staff was friendly. Good location also.

The place needs proper renovation all over, i wouldn't even give it any Star rating, ooh my word, i had never experienced such in all my years. i checked in on Saturday early hours, from jhb, when i got the the gentleman assisting shows me to my room, i get there, its a big, dirty room, with 3 unmade beds, no TV, windows wide open, no lace curtain, mind you, its 01:00 AM. No bed had blankets, and he went to check for some. in his absence rats were busy chipping away on the roof, i told him to please check another room for me, i refuse to sleep there, so we went, got another room, unmade bed, no blankets, no TV, at atleast it had hot water. i was really not please with the place, however the gentleman assisting was kind enough to wake up at my time of check in.

We stay 6 days in Caribe Caribe lodge, in an special situation. We appreciate their help. The room was comfortable, clean with all the necessary facilities. Workers very gently. The lodge was clean with security and in a very quite area, easy to find. NBS

Caribe Caribe looks like it once was the belle of the ball in Pietermaritzburg with its Cuba theme, but right now, it's pretty run-down. Maintenance is really lacking - from the swimming pools to the garden, to the furniture. The staff were friendly in general, but some were unprofessional - there was no-one at reception when we arrived, we waited a full 10 minutes before someone showed up. We'd travelled by road all the way from Cape Town, so this was very disappointing. Our room was just as disappointing - it was clean but lacked furniture, there was no place to sit but on the bed. It was also highly disconcerting to see the door and door lock had been tampered with - seems like a break-in took place and nothing was done to re-secure the room. Caribe Caribe needs some all-round work - from staff training and room decor to property maintenance. Definitely not value for money!

Pathetic accommodation. Unprofessional staff and managers. My family was caused alot of inconvenience. We had to continuously ask for towels. The electricity kept on tripping. The facility was dirty and untidy. The bath tub was cracked. As for the OWNER ISHANA of Caribe Caribe and Albert Falls accommodation is extremely ABRUPT, RUDE and have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. After telling her what inconvenience we were caused due to their NEGLIGENCE and UNPROFESSIONALISM , all she could say is IF YOU WANT TO SUE ME THEN I WILL SEE YOU IN COURT. People like this should not own customer service places because they are not a people's person. I would never recommend anyone to go to these places to stay. WORST ACCOMMODATION EVER...

Absolutely shocking! Room not ready on arrival @ 7pm, eventually got a room @ 9pm with damp sheets on the beds, no soap in the bathroom or towels! Stay far away from this disastrous establishment!
