Carnival City Hotel

My recent trip to Carnival City Hotel was the most enjoyable. The Rooms are refurbished it is clean and Hygienic. The Cleaning staff is Friendly and charming. The pool area is well Maintained. Security at Carnival is Top Notch. I would like to thank Cyril who saved us that night. His response was quick. Standing oviation to all the Top Notch Managers of Carnival City. The Entertainment is Great for kids and Adults. I would recommend Carnival city to Anyone. Safety: Lady jumped from the 2nd floor came knocking at our door from the back however security caught her in the Nick of Time his name was Cyril. Sad to Say, But this was definitely not the best stay at Carnival City. Booked a Two Night stay for a birthday celebration. Wednesday Night / Thursday Night Tried calling the first night to advise the hotel that i would be checking in late but could not get through the phone just kept ringing with no answer. Second issue was with the TV in the room, went down early in the morning Thursday - 07:00 am to advise that there was an issue with the TV, one of the guys came to check but could not assist, said that IT needed to assist with the issue and he would report it, called again about 09:00 to remind/advise reception of the issue at hand, she advised that she would call someone immediately to assist - Still NOTHING! had to call back AGAIN this around 11:00 and reception had forgotten about the issue. Eventually IT had come up and had a temp solution for the TV said the only way to get this sorted was to replace the TV and they would check if any was available TV was Not replaced. After load shedding the TV would not go back on called reception and they advised that this was no longer an IT issue and someone would come check. No one came, I went down to reception to ask if anyone would come to sort this out and the lady advised that someone was there but I did not open the door keeping in mind that I was waiting the entire morning for the issue to be sorted the guy that apparently came to the room was at the reception area and the only word to describe this attitude was RUDE! He insisted that he was at the room and I did not open the door, we did not even come to some agreement about the issue and he just turned his back and walked away. FINALLY, Solomon came to my room and the issue was sorted for the nigh only. After load shedding Friday morning, TV was not working AGAIN. Third issue outside my room no one advised that maintenance would be taking place and they would be making a noise all we heard the morning was chopping and banging that one could not even go back to sleep. Overall not a grand stay SADLY!

The experience was amazing very relaxing the rides there're rides suitable for adults especially the sky lab and Ferris wheel the kids loved it

Been here after years it's changed but nothing beats this one of the best sun international places ever. I would literally live der if I could. The casino is the biggest from all other sun international casinos. Carnival city the place to be.Rooms: 5/5

Nice atmosphere and nice food ....slot machines a bit tight .......

We enjoyed our stay here, but they had renovations and we had to order meals and pay for them. Besides that it was a great stay.Rooms: 5/5

The place stinks. I arrived with my family only to find the entrance fee was changed from R10 per vehicle to R10 per person regardless of age. For the privilege of walking on their paving!! Extortion!!

Hotel is good rooms and staff exelent casino is a waste of time and money to many people hanging around drinking to many asking for hand outs makes the experiance miserable machines are dead just taking with very poor feature pay outs diamond mvg is taken for granted with very poor benifits and freeplay promotions sun international has to wake up or this mvg will spend his money somwhere els

The hotel reception is done up so beautifully Welldone

Dissapointing. This place needs a serious revamp, it's looking rather drab and tatty. Also it needs a few new an exciting stores, it's just a little dull at the moment.Rooms: 1/5
