The smell of leather imprinted itself in my nose at a very young age. Since my mother was manufacturing leather goods, I grew up surrounded by it. I slept under leather jackets as a baby, while my mother did business and tried to make ends-meet.
It was inevitable that I would end up doing something with leather in my line of work and studying accounting would pay off in other ways.
I’m pretty sure I could ride a horse before I could walk and just as the leather became part of my life, horses became something I couldn’t live without. Being a horse rider and a tom-boy, fashion also had little place in my life.
When I did connect with my feminine side, I quickly realised the gap in the market for good quality, equestrian-themed leather hand bags and accessories.
With the help of my mom, who has been in the trade half of her life, we started designing the most beautiful bags and incorporating equestrian items such as metal horses, bits, stirrups, saddles, etc.
Development was slow-going and it took us a while to perfect the styles and quality. We are lucky to have the opportunity to work with some very professional people in the trade and therefor will offer new and existing products on an ongoing basis.
The possibilities are endless!
Since horses found there way into the fashion world, we hope that both - equestrians and people, who have little to do with horses, will appreciate the creative, beautiful and original quality products we have to offer as we keep improving and expanding the range.
