Do not take your parents to Cedar Manor. They do not follow the Dementia Program they show you. My mom was very unhappy there when she was aware of her surroundings. She begged me regularly to leave. Mentioned bullying from employees and theft from the people sharing her room etc. All her stockings, over 20 pairs and her socks, taken, not to mention other items while she was aware. Who knows how much they took when she could no longer speak and tell me. In winter she would not have socks or stockings on to wear, saying they were taken. I saw this myself. The day she died I asked them to take her to hospital, when the matron phoned me, her reply, was, "Why she is already dying". 2h later she died, according to the matron's whatsapp I received. No doctor present etc. No call, nothing. Within 2h on the 26th of December 2022, a public holiday, they invoice me for her, for January!!!. Talk about no tact. I'm still awaiting a response to my query about this invoice from Miranda Gericke, who sent it to me. In the end when her Dementia was severe, she relied on them to change her nappy, etc. When I visited it seemed as though the staff member who pushed her around in her wheelchair was caring, but who knows that could have been for show. She often mentioned, about the staff demanding money from her, and calling her names when she never gave it to them. This was in the beginning, for a few months, while she was lucid. The matron Ria Buys was my main contact person. I Only heard from Lance once or twice in the beginning of her stay. I have yet to get a reply on email from him that I sent last year. He still has not even phoned me or emailed me since my mom's death. Shocking. He is the manager or whatever. I don't know for sure. Bottom line, go elsewhere. I do have invoices to prove my mom went to Cedar Manor in case the reply of, we don't have you on our list, pops up like I see in the other reviews. I do thank those who really did help my mom and care for her, if it was done from a true and sincere heart. I'll never know.
I would like to thank Sister Maryna and all off the friendly staff at Cedar Manor for all their help and care with my father the time he stayed there with them. They are always willing to help and assist with any matter and took such good care of my father the time he could not do it himself. I would recommend Cedar Manor Care home any day to anyone for peace of mind with a loved one that needs care. Thank you for all your help and love.

I just want to say thank you to all Cedar Manor Staff and Management. My grandmother has been at Cedar Manor for a month now. Whenever we visit we are always met with friendly proficient staff. My grandmother is a dementia patient and it is not easy on the family. I just want to say Sister Maryna, Winnie, Sarah you guys are awesome. Lance I just want to say you are doing a great job especially when it comes to the caring of my grandmother. keep up the good good work.
My dad was at Cedar Manor Centurion at the beginning of the year, and it was the best decision we made for him and for us. He was treated with such kindness, love and care which was also extended to our family as well. Cedar Manor made his final days comfortable and bearable, and we will be forever grateful to everyone there who looked after him so well. God bless everyone at Cedar Manor to be able to continue their good work.
My mum Nalanie spent 6 months at Cedar Manor before she sadly passed away. I have to thank the staff for their patience and compassion. It was always a pleasure being met by friendly, caring staff. Mum never adjusted well to being away from home but the patience and love shown to mum by the Cedar staff does not go unappreciated. Thank you Lance, Maryna, Winnie and the team for all your love and support. I will highly recommend your facility and staff.
My Dad spent his last 9 months at cedar manor before he passed away in March this year. I cannot begin to expresss my thanks, gratitude and peace of mind to all the loving, dedicated and caring staff at the house. My dad was a fairly complicated case as he was in the very late stages of glaucoma and his eye sight was severely compromised as well as his mobility quite restricted. Nothing was ever too much effort for them to do for him. They went above and beyond for my dad every day and he was always comfortable and cared for. This was a peace of mind money could not buy and we as a family were assured of. Lance Kibel, owner, would always say to me “that’s what we do with dignity and respect” no questions asked, whenever I called him to discuss something. Sr. Maryna always goes beyond the call of duty with an extremely high work ethic and utmost respect and integrity in caring for the aged. Sr. Winnie, another true gem, was always our ray of sunshine and hope and a one in a million angel sent to the manor. We could go there any time of the day or night and were welcomed and never turned away. I would highly recommend Cedar Manor and their caring staff and facilities. I placed my mom on the 1st...i am so impressed with the treatment she receives. I am blessed to have found you. Sr Maryna is an absolute darling, and nurses Winnie and Terry and all the nurses are godsends. I cannot express my thanks for your caring facility for taking excellent care of my mom. Thank you Lance and all your staff.
I'll be completely honest, I don't feel like my mother-in-law enjoyed her last months at Cedar Manor.. The staff are only there for the pay-check and it shows in their care
