The East Rand Scots Lodge (no. 1093 on the Roll of the Grand Lodge of Scotland) is a fraternal Masonic organisation
Welcome to the East Rand Scots Lodge
No. 1093 on the Roll of The Grand Lodge of Scotland
The East Rand Scots Lodge was awarded it’s charter from The Grand Lodge of Scotland way back in 1911, and our first Right Worshipful Master was Bro. J.F. Etherden.
In August 2011, at our Annual Festival of Installation, our Lodge was rededicated in a ceremony performed by the Right Worshipful District Grand Master of Scottish Freemasonry in Central South Africa, Bro. Robert Gilchrist Law.
We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month, except for December when our Lodge is in recess.
Our current Right Worshipful Master for the 2015/16 masonic year, Bro. Mike Herbert, welcomes visiting brethren at 8:00pm into any of our Regular Meetings
The principal idea of Freemasonry as a fraternal organization is to take a good man and make him a better man. A better man internally as well as externally, a better citizen of his community and country, a better husband and father to his children, a better friend and co-worker.
