Chaf Pozi, Soweto

We ate here as a group on a tour. The BBG was pretty good. Some overcooked but a good variety of flavors. There is a spicy, carrot side dish that was really great. And from where we were sitting, we could see the bungee jumping.Recommended dishesLamb Chops Beef Short Rib Wors Chicken Wings

What a great place. You choose the meat and they cook it up for you. We came here with our tour guide. Cold beer and great food right between the towers. If you are in Soweto you must go.

Had a delightful stop at Chaf Pozi while in Soweto recently. It’s an unassuming venue that offers a vibey atmosphere, and is located at the site of one of Soweto’s best known tourist attractions - the Soweto Towers bungee experience. When I visited, the place was teeming with tourists and thrill seekers - and a film shoot thrown in for good measure!The ‘township experience’ comes by virtue of a cavernous, shebeen-style ‘beer hall’ that is devoid of the frills and I imagine the costs that you might encounter in your average suburban watering hole. You also get the obligatory ‘shisa nyama’ barbecue and the meat is prepared for you while you wait. I was with my family and we all enjoyed the meat, pap and chakalaka. My 9 year old son has been asking when we will go back, so I know there’ll be more visits there to come. Well worth visiting.

A good chill between the towers. The best Shisanyama in Soweto by far. Relaxed, clean and welcoming. Good food. Good music. Great ambience. Patrons included international tourists who participated enthusiastically on the bungy jumping facilities.

AMAZING! if I could give 10 stars I would. We booked to celebrate for a birthday and Lawrence the manager and the entire teams service was top notch! They truly take pride in their services and to top it off the food was amazing. Best bar man Nelson and our waiter Xolani was also on top of everything and made the day super special for us thank you so so much to the CHAF POSI TEAM! will definitely be back over and over again!
