We are a small Design Studio, Antique Shop & Art Gallery that Celebrates the Old and New, Rare and Beautiful.

Description

Chandler House is a small design studio which I founded in the August of 2010. My designs deal largely with Cape-Inspired pieces and all pieces are made in my beloved Cape Town.

An intimate gallery experience that steps outside the traditional "white cube" experience - I visited whilst artist Lené Ehlers was exhibiting and it was refreshing to see process work displayed next to final works. The gallery owner is very welcoming.

Michael’s charming gallery is home to work from some of the most talented artists in South Africa. We learned about his gallery through the NY Magazine and I am so glad we did. I can’t imagine anyone visiting and not leaving with a new favorite piece of art.

An ultimate "Made in Cape Town" store curated by Michael Chandler, I can literally spend hours in his store. There's so much details, textures, prints, and beautiful design in every corner. Designed by Chandler as well as other South African artists, the ceramic pieces are stunning! With rotating art exhibition, this is where I go to relax & get inspired.
This is a small shop and gallery. The shop has a collection of homeware that reflects the feel and history of the Cape.
