Checkers Overport City

For a small sized Checkers, I get everything that I go there for. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Trolley, for trolley, the pricing is right. Great fresh produce. Wide selection of confectionary.

Always busy, usually a wait in a queue at the cashiers. On a few occasions there were no packers which means cashiers are doing two things which cases slight delays. Nonetheless Bernie is always vigilant and helpful to all the issues or queries that arise at till points.

My favourite store to get almost all my groceries and other items, ample parking and 1 hour free parking when shopping at checkers....

Greetings! Neat shelves, delicious, freshly baked, sourdough bread, panini, etc. During loadshedding the generator kicked in, and everyone continued to shop. I must add though, the red label pricing is a bit confusing.

This store has a huge muslim clientele, so it's very disappointing to note that the bakery items have no Halaal certification, and this hasn't changed for so many years..... I'm a customer to this store for atleast 20years now, and it is very sad that this hasn't been a consideration by management....

Why is the service here terrible? I called Checkers Westville the lady gave me an answer in a minute, I call this branch and I'm on hold for 8 minutes, eventually hung up. This is just one of the reasons for the one star.

Excellent store. Well stocked. Managed well. The lady supervisor well mannered and respectful. Try this store and you wount be disappointed. Keep it up

I love this Checkers. They have everything you need and great specials. Parking is free for an hour.

The store is compact and it has to accommodate alot of people which makes it constantly crowded but they have everything you need, always neat, clean and well stocked. The bakery is always on point and they have a nice variety of breads and are very helpful. Overall a very nice store the only downside is that it is always full especially during peak hours and the ques are long. The cashier do a great job, they work ad fast as they can and are very efficient most of the time. Ample secure parking available and the car guards are usually very helpful as well.
