Let’s start at the complementary water on the table will cost you R34 per 500ml. Then the service what service took an hour and 10min to be served the so called food rear stake so over cooked it was dead the side of sweet potato was cold very cold then the crumb chicken done in old chips oil mash taste less the pasta over cooked. Of all the places I have ever been the worst. R200 for dead steak never. If I had to choose between a Big Mac don’t do Mac Donalds at all I will have the Big Mac. I will not recommend you walk past it rather walk around it it’s that bad The manager offered me a free pizza as I assumed that he will bring me the best they have I gave him the options of the pizza and that was not great either Will I return never
Spent two consecutive evenings here for dinner with poor results. The food takes a very long time to arrive and one needs to ensure that no hair is found in the food. A broken teapot arrived, spilling tea all over the table. The manager could not be found and only arrived after being called 4 times. Please do not try this particular restaurant. Update: Spoke to the manager and still burnt food arrived on a quiet day.
Very disappointed. Waited a longish time, expensive and standard cups for coffee all around the world is a large coffee here. So don't waste your money on That. Even the waiter admitted it. This place is not busy, only reason we came here
The only reason I am giving 1 star is because you can't give no stars and write a review. Today we went to this restaurant and ordered 4 breakfast croissants. The waiter offered us drinks and told us that it would take a while to prepare the food as everything is freshly made. An hour later a different waiter came past amd said we needed to wait as the food was prepared fresh. In all of this time no one asked if we would like anything else to drink. One and a half hours later croissants take 10 mins to bake....., our food came. The food looked miserable on the plate and when we started to eat it the croissants were RAW. Extremely disappointed as I used to enjoy their Pizzas. When we called the manager she just looked at us with a blank stare. No service disgusting food and no apology ...will not be spending my cash there again.
I used to frequent this restaurant about 8 Years ago When I say frequent I mean at least once a week and it was round about this time that the whole experience started to become terrible. It was ok back then, not fabulous, but the Pizza was good and I liked the ambiance in the upstairs section but that was then and Nowdays you wouldn’t be able to find a positive experience at Col’ Caccia. Believe me when I say that there are very few restaurants that I would be prepared to write a review that the service has been beyond terrible consistently over 8 years. Let me elaborate. On every occasion our food took well over 45 min and the waiter will not be back at your table to give an explanation until you walk around to find either a manager or your waiter. The reason I keep going back is that I refuse to believe that a restaurant experience can be consistently bad year after year. Unfortunately with this restaurant it has been with no exceptions. There systems and processes must be fundamentally floored and I am still bewildered by lack of service and really poor experience.. The owners must realise that profits have dropped and even at peak periods there are plenty of tables to sit at when all the other restaurants around are full to capacity. Even the Kiosks. Could it be that other unsuspecting patrons are having the same experience. I’m pretty sure that most most people who have tried this restaurant will have had the same experience or experiences. My latest attempt at giving the restaurant another chance was on Christmas Day 2018. This was my Expensive Shockingly Poor experience A pizza costs on average R150 Drinks took 45 min. This was a Strawberry Daquerie and a Savannah’s dry and a Cream Soda. The Pizza arrived one hour and 15 minutes later. This was 2 hours after we ordered. The Pizza was cold and the cutlery was filthy. How can a restaurant be so bad so consistently? I asked the Manager and his response was I’ll ask the owners. There was not even an attempt to keep us as clients by offering a free bowl of ice cream but I would have rather had a nice Christmas Day Experience. It’s taken me 8 years to realise that this restaurant is a lost cause. You won’t Col’ Caccia me there again. That’s for sure.
Waited more than an hour for drinks to arrive. Food took over two hours. Hygiene is absolutely a huge issue at this place - we found hair in our food, and a big piece of foil in the pizza! And worst of all - I ended up with food poisoning! The service has really gone done at Emperors Col'Cacchio! Don't waste your money going here! PS: No use complaining, as the manger will just nod and wave!
I suggest you drink out of the can / bottle when visiting. Pizza was good however the glasses have lipstick stains and are generally very dirty. We had 3 glasses on our table and they were all dirty. Very gross
Very disappointing. I often eat alone at restaurants so because waiters at some restaurants presume the tip will be small the service is bad as they are inattentive and sloppy. This was the case today, I ordered the Broccoli salad with extra bacon but instead of telling me before bringing the meal that the restaurant had run out of dressing - the waiter said its name is too difficult for him to say or remember -they tell me afterwards offering only the cheap house dressing, balsamic and olive oil. The butter blocks were frozen solid so couldn't be smeared on the pizza bread, the waiter said he didn't know what the differences were between the different pasta choices for a pasta dish and lastly it took an unacceptably long time to bring my bill and take my payment. Really disappointing, no wonder the restaurant was empty.
Out of five dishes that we ordered all five were absolutely terrible. No taste. The "creamy" based pastas tasted like a bucket of oil had been poured in them. Pizza was soggy and tasteless.
Terrible food lately. The second to last time I went there the melanzane was watery and undercooked, and the pizza had very little cheese and was as thin as cardboard. This time the tiramisu was very sour and had to be sent back. The waiters were very friendly though, and did try to make us happy to the best of their ability, but sadly the kitchen is not up to task.
