Tomato Woodfired Pizza

What a lovely restaurant, they use a wood burning pizza oven and have a great family menu. Food was really good, had beef ravioli and chicken and mushroom penne, giving them both a 5/5. Staff are very friendly and the service is top notch. Will definitely be back for more.

Just recently moved to the area, my Wife and I decided to opt for a "local" flavour, and we're keen on a true Pizza experience, that is above the general standard found when purchasing from the "fast food" alternatives. The premises itself, I may add seems to be quite quaint and in a well situated area, which one would expect to serve a multitude of clients and to be honest I do not always take other opinions to much regard as things do change and sometimes it's just a bad day. However, needless to say, I was met with the poorest of delivery when I laid my eyes upon what I paid, what I believe, to be an exorbitant price for the equivalent of a reheated excuse of pizza that I was expecting to be the "Heart of this Neighborhood." Regrettably I do not think I will be a patron further, what an utter disappointment. One wonders if any pride is taken anymore, especially when expenses are much too high, I would gladly spend any order of money for the expected value. Utter failure but such a pity.

Cheeseburger was fantastic, the patty was so tender and juicy, the ceasar salad was delicious you could taste the ingredients were fresh. I recommend 100%

What a pleasant experience. A perfect pizza paired with an ice cold beer served by an waiter that was on the ball. Love this little place and will definitely be back.Food: 5/5

Been here multiple times and it’s our go to place. But staff rule the place and Kwaito music and local soccer on the tv is very annoying. Even after the request to change it, the staff refuse. Think I’ll weigh up my options the next time.Recommended dishesBeef Lasagne, Ribs and Chips

Monday afternoon, need something to do..try TOMATO for a good start to the week. Met with friends for a chat. Staff pleasant, pizza good. And I didn't need to take the car out. yaaaay.

I use to love them, but the problem is that they pre-mix garlic in the toppings and i can,t eat garlic. And to me it is a problem. But if you like garlic as a topping, then i say go for it

Pleasantly surprised by this lovely, hidden gem. Great ambience and situated conveniently. Compliments to your chef - pizzas and pastas are divine! Can really recommend it for a quick bite or an evening out. Visiting on a regular basis and service from friendly waiters are excellent - always helpful with big smiles. Bathrooms are beautiful, well maintained and clean. Just one suggestion: please review the selection of music played. Lately is bad, very loud and chasing customers away.

So her is my complaint and the resturants awnser. Not sorry the waiter was never at your table. Not sorry the food made your daughter sick. So not sorry about staff or food. Just climbing into my character and telling me off. My comlaint was made in store before i paid. And i was upset when i left. So first is my vlcomplaint then their answer Dont know whats happening to Tamato here in Vanriebeeck park. Calamari is old and chewy. Orderd a porcupine wine. Did not get asked red or white was just given red. Opend and cant return it. Service is going down hill. Food is going down hill. Seriously maybe the manager/owner should spend some time in store mabe then staff will get trained properly and food quality will improve. Dear Sir .. kindly note that  we employ local students from local schools to support our local families and community  . The young lady who attended to your table was training yesterday and today and a few more times .. hiw else do we train  young students .. but by putting them on the spot. Your attention to the incorrect wine would have help her to become a better waiter. Why drink all the wine and complain after . your bill was R915  the waiter..  by accident put only R615 in the machine... You did not  complain about that did you .
