Colorado Spur Steak Ranch

Just the ordinary spur with its family friendliness. Subtracted stars because I always get cold old tasting chicken wings. After the first time I thought it wouldn't happen again but nope!

The food is always great. Our bad experience this one time was, we order a toasted cheese for the kids and they brought a pizza. We order a summer cooler with normal glasses, they brought the summer cooler with wine glasses, we ask again for normal glasses and it took half an hour before they brought the normal drinking glasses. But other wise there service is normally perfect. We just had this one time a bad experience

Today was an family day but, thanks to spur the mood dropped very quickly. The waiter was very friendly, but there was no stock, the food took very long and it wasn't served 100% hot, the flies on the tables was the worst and no air conditioning. I really do feel sorry for the waiter having to come say sorry every time for the drinks they don't have in stock. Please Spur get your tings together or more families will stop supporting you.

Staff: impolite, flippant and basically disregarded and ignored us. Including the manager. Cleanliness: appaling, dirty tables, floors were left with dropped food, menus had fingerprint stains and a disgusting stench. We arrived for supper, the manager at the front counter unknown at the time scowled and asked how many, then told me to go through, no one to assist us, as there is usually someone to walk you to your table and hand you the menu, STANDARD in all Spurs across S.A, unless something changed last night. Many empty tables but either left with bits of dirt on or around them. After finding a clean table, we waited.. no one came to offer us menus but several staff walked by, went to other tables, even had a little staff group chat at the front side counter. YES, observing it all, still waiting, finally flagged down a male waiter who was standing at the till in front of the grill station, where he was very involved in his own conversation acting out hand motions, i asked him for menus, which he was shocked that i asked him and wasnt that willing to even give me menus as he had to look up and around for someone else to call, he eventually gave us menus and disappeared altogether. We then just waited for someone to take our order, when I finally called to another female waitress, she actually gestured to me a finger signal indicating she would come back, then went to a table and had a comedic chat, the people at that table were fine, had their meals and drinks, so we just watched... the conversation continued, and no one came to us. This is what we observed whilst being totally ignored. WE EVENTUALLY WOKE UP TO LEAVE. Went to the front counter, where another male waiter was and i asked to speak to the manager, the earlier female waitress came to the front, jolly, but ignored us standing there, not interested as to why we were there when we had just been waiting to order, i asked if she was the manager, she said no, i asked for the manager again, and she then asked if she could help, i said we'd been waiting for help and even asked you but you just gave me a hand signal and walked off. Finally when the manager sees us waiting at the door, on her way, had enough time to stop and collect menus from other tables before coming to us, asks what's wrong, I tell her in detail and whilst she did apologize, no attempt was offered to rectify the poor service we received but it felt rather like she was content to have us leave. After that blatant disregard and extremely poor attitude and quality of service, the dirty tables, floors and disgusting menus, we were happy to leave and would not have stayed even if offered.

The waitress who showed us to our table had the least of patience when we were deciding where we wanted to sit... No one who works at this spur where friendly - don't expect warm welcomes with the nicest smiles - no asked if you want veg or chips or onion rings... The atmosphere feel like keep to yourself otherwise you will be in trouble... Very hostile ... Kid-friendliness: There's a kids play zone

Horrible place to try and eat - arrogant, rude & incompetent waiters - horrible inedible food but at least the eveing shift manager noted what happened and stepped in - one of the places one wishes you can rate -5Food: 1/5

Once, their service was fantastic. Friendly waiters and waitresses. Lately, after new management, the staff come to work with hangovers, get orders wrong and when you ask them to do your steak in a specific way, they do as they feel. Extremely disappointed in Management. POOR!

Its a lovely Spur branch and has their signature food athat well prepared, however, it can easily get overwhelmed because it is the only Spur branch in Kathu - i do not blame them for the rushed service and food when it get extremely busy, hence the good rating. Overall, its the good old Spur we all know and love.Food: 4/5

Food was not bad but think they ran out of steak as pieces we got had been cut and were hardly bigger than the egg yolk. Service was poor, waited long time even 30min just to get the bill.Food: 3/5

Food Is good. Staff friendly but service time is very long. Spur in Postmansburg is 1 1/2 stars better.Food: 3/5
