Cradle Lodge

An absolutely phenomenal experience. We went on the 10k hike, in all honesty it was not as bad as I thought and mainly because of the view and seeing all the animals along the way. Being able to get close to them as well because they walk around freely. I suggest nobody go on the 10k hike after 2-3 if you plan on stopping for breaks throughout because it may become a little scary as it gets dark with finding your way back. You need to remember the paths you took because I did not see any direction to get back to the entrance. It took a combination of 3 brains to figure the way back and good observation skills

It's awesome place. It's very relaxing, family friendly. There are many fun things to do, such as boat rides, paddle boats, restaurant on the lake above the water, a little man made sand area with chairs and umbrellas, trampoline and pool for the kids. There's a waterfall hike area.. great for pics. Scenery 10/10. Many animals on the property. Amazing and awesome.

The place is lovely. I really liked the hiking trail, and the lake is beautiful. Very artistic and a great place to come with family. Unfortunately, the restaurant was appalling. Just by entering the restaurant I could already tell that the staff work in a very toxic environment. The food was terrible, the floor was dirty, the table we sat on was dirty and don't get me started with the service. Purely because of the restaurant, the entire place falls flat. To be honest, I just think the place needs to be managed properly otherwise it has potential.

Did a day visit with friends and went for a 10km hike. Hiking trails are marked clearly. An excellent place for hiking and or biking. The place is well maintained and after hiking you can have a lunch and drinks at the restaurant. It is ideal place for families, couple's getaways, friends outings or even if you need a little peace of mind as an individual. Definitely going back for a weekend stay

Visiting the cradle was a pleasant excellent. We didn't stay for too long, as it was full, since it was a weekend plus it's a month end as well. The restaurant next to the water, was pleasant, even though it was full. The food is very affordable It has a variety of places where you can rest, grab something to eat or have a cold beverage. The ticket office could use some efficiency, it was crowded & fully, it took a while to get our tickets to check out. Parking was not so great, it was full but nonetheless we had to find a parking spot close to the amenities. Leaving the cradle was pleasant at the gate, the guards were pleasant & very professional. They could use more man power, instead of 2 people at the gate, have 4 people to expedite the process of cutting the check out tages & cars move very smoothly Otherwise nonetheless It was a pleasant experience

We absolutely enjoyed ourselves here, my hubby and son took me for an early mother's day here, I loved every part of our day. Beautiful place to spend the day or weekend, lots to do. And the prices isn't bad at all, entrance is R 50.00, and there is so many activities to do there, very affordable. Amazing restaurant and staff, my day was amazing.

We did the green trail. It's easy and quick. Kids enjoy the long walk . Conservation fee of R50 if you are not doing other activities. We paid R70 pp which included the conservation fee. A beautiful place to enjoy with familyLocation: 5/5

My husband and I went there for a day visit, we made sure to go during the week because we didn't want to go when it's full. It was a lovely experience and a beautiful place... From the water fall, the lake, beach site and swimming pool. Seeing the wildlife was a cherry on top of top, we'll most definitely come back and I've already recommended this place to friends and family.

We visited this place for the first time and we really had a great time. It was very spacious, great views, so many activities and also very friendly and polite staff. You can come here for cycling, hiking, walking, boat cruise, paddle boat and what not. There were sightings of zebra, spring bok, monkeys etc. You can easily spend quality time with anyone here.

Went for a walk along the green trail, around the lake, nice to get out and stretch the legs in a safe environment. The lodge have zebras, deer and some hippos which are the only ones we never saw. It's better getting there earlier to avoid the masses on the trailLocation: 4/5
