Late movie on a Monday night, the cashless service, dirty floors, having to find staff for ticket, then find staff for vip service, then find staff to check you tickets, movie starting late, not what i was hoping for after a long time of not attending the Cinema. The staff where hot helpful or friendly in any way. The only good thing was the seating has improved dramatically.
I've been here a couple of times, the parking is safe and secure, toilets are a brisk walk away from the cinema itself. The cashless service seems to work well, although they did run out of popcorn at our last visit. Sound inside the cinema is awesome and the place is kept neat and clean. If you prefer a more intimate movie experience they do have the VIP sections. Would definitely visit here again.
I booked my tickets online and arrived early. Then the power went out, then the generator went out. Because the power is out, you can't order snacks because God forbid, you bypass their system. I also couldn't download my ticket. Then the generator came on, luckily wit hadn't started.... Then the generator gave out. I haven't been for a movie is ages. What a great experience
Staff not helpfull. Late movie of 8pm was skeleton staff and not in mood for us. No greeting or assisting where to go. Even after struggling to add popcorn to movie ticket selfhelp counter...just looked at us!!! Theater comfy and clean. Staff like this will let me Stat at home and rather watch Netflix...much cheaper and no surly faces.
The atmosphere of the Cinema is lacklustre. The staff lack energy. The standard cinema seats are not ideal. The Cine Prestige is a bit small. The popcorn is stale most of the time and the soda lacks acid. This cinema is ideal for only watching a movie without needing the full enjoyable experience.
I love prive big comffy recliner lots of space so don't feel ontop of anyone booking online is best just walk in to counter get scaned for popcorn ect and ticket no ques no fuss only thing I would suggest is takeing a leg warmer
Movies have gotten pretty expensive so when you go to the cinema you want to sit in the dark and be submerged in your film. The problem I have with this Ster Kinekor is that I could hear the movie playing in the venue next to mine. The fact that it was a musical kind of made it worse, every time I got sucked into my movie I would get distracted by the musical number in the venue next to mine. I would rather pay more and go to an Imax. But the staff is friendly and helpful!
Clean , well lit , just a pity the movies are not well attended . Very quiet coming out of a movie that started at 8pm and finished just after 10pm
Prestige was comfortable.. I expected the cinema to be much bigger inside. Bit overall it was comfortable
We went to the movies as a group of 9, all over sixties. None of our SK cards worked, it took more than 30 minutes for all of us to get tickets. My husband and I ended up paying full price as they couldn't get our cards to work. We were taken from one person to the next, nobody could assist. Absolutely terrible service. Why give pensioners the option to pay half price, but then make it so difficult for them to buy tickets?? Is the 50% off just a scam??? Shame on you Ster Kinekor!
