Description

Come and visit the award winning commercial Crocodiles farm in Gauteng. Croc City Crocodile and Reptile Park is only 5 minutes drive from the Fourways area. The farm is situated north of Johannesburg, close to the Lanseria International Airport and the Cradle of Humankind. The entrance to Croc City leads one into a well-stocked curio shop where one can get anything from souvenirs, crocodile oil lotion to crocodile meat products.

You will be given the opportunity to HOLD a baby crocodile as well as a variety of exotic snakes and even a tarantula. This makes for wonderful photo opportunities so don’t forget your camera! On display we have some of South Africa’s most venomous snakes, including the black and green mamba, boomslang and many more.

The guide will take you on an informative guided tour to see from small to the big crocs of over 5 meters in length. If you are lucky, you will also see a couple of tortoises roaming freely.

After the tour you can relax in the tea garden that serves light lunches, while the kids play in the shaded play area.

I was quite surprised and very impressed after our visit. Generally I am not a fan of zoos or similar type places, but decided to take my family to this place for something fun and interning to do. The staff are friendly, the guided tour is really good and the gentleman giving them is fun and engages the people very well, the restaurant is quick and makes good food. We were even allowed to take in our own food!!! Very impressive and just for that we did also buy some drinks and dessert from the restaurant. The animals appear well cared for and the overall impression is good. Only comment is that some minor maintenance and general housekeeping things can be down to improve the look and environment. I adore this place a 5 out of 5 and my quick 2 hour stop turned into 4 hours of good entertainment and relaxation.

Fantastic place for a day out. The tour guides are very passionate and are great to watch. The zip line is lots of fun. Everything is maintained properly and there is plenty of space and amenities. Definitely worth the R100 entrance price. Have not tried the pizza but it looks great!

You can stop by this park on your way back from the lion park. Taking pictures with snakes and crocodiles. You can come across rabbits and turtles roaming freely in the garden. It has a parking lot at the entrance. The entrance fee is 100 rand.  A very nice, positive person named Stanley guided us, we were pleased.

A fun experience. You get a tour of the park and learn about the animals. You get the opportunity to hold some of the animals. The animals are in good and healthy condition. The park and the  are clean. They sell food that you can feed the rabbits and tortoises with. They have a restaurant where they sell pizza, you can even try a crocodile pizza. They have zip lines over some of the enclosures for an extra fee. Ample parking.

What a fun experience for kids. close to Johannesburg. We were lucky to see the venomous snake show and the crocodile feeding while we were there. My son also enjoyed the zip line over the crocodile paddocks. The on site pizzeria satisfied the hunger between shows. Much smaller than expected. Only a handful of each species and not very many species in total. Nice play area for the little people. Pretty interactive. Fed rabbits and tortoises. Held a baby croc and a boa. Zip line for the adventurous.

Such an amazing experience!  We did the reptile tour, but missed out on the crocodile tour due to the rain. Brendan is an amazing tour guide. Easy to chat to and very knowledgeable.  The pizza is incredibly delicious. Oscar makes his own dough and is so proud of his creations. He is so sweet!  We enjoyed the outing and will definitely be back for the crocs and more pizza!

What a great family outing. We were lucky enough to catch the very informative venomous snakes show. Lots of bunnies and tortoises to feed as well as monsterous crocodiles to see. There is a playground for kids and a restaurant. Definitely recommend!

Nice place to interact with reptiles. At a fee of R100 per adult and R70 per child, you get a guided tour around the premises, an opportunity to touch the reptiles and a brief description of the reptiles habit and natural habitat. The type of reptiles you will see include crocodiles, snakes and tortoise feeding pack available at R10. There is also a zipline that passes through the crocodile farm, a restaurant and play area for kids.  The employees are friendly and helpful. And willing to compensate if they do wrong. We ordered a crocodile fillet and it was under cooked. To apologize, they offered us one of their specialty pizza.

Our monthly weekend  adventure. Owners are fantastic  kids LOVE  it and the pizza always gets an extra order to take some home! A must if you want an outdoor, fresh air experience. Kids always have an early night    super affordable and only a 20min drive.
